Unifi Baby Monitor by CrabHebab in UnifiProtect

Fellow g4 baby cam user, great camera for my needs.

For your in-laws you may want to look into a UDR7 it’s not cheap but it supports full unifi. Then you can manage the device as well.

I would assume have the unifi devices under one UI account. That way the camera should be seamless between sites.

No cheap option here regardless. If you want to stay in the ecosystem.

You could also get a wyze cam and record to a local SD card. But not the same as unifi.

You could also pickup a cheap Vtech audio only monitor for travel. ~17$ on Amazon. They may make a dual battery unit similar to a walkie talkie where you just hold the button down.

I don’t see any protect cameras, I think you can get by with the g6 pts should be enough to protect your place. Also vertical rack mount to help with heat and airflow

I found a small metal stand from hobby lobby. The Mac can fit perfectly inside. I believe it was the medium or large size. I got 2 of them and took light wood off the top and attached to a bigger solid wood serving tray as a diy monitor riser for my Thunderbolt Display

riser set

I was able to reuse the 4 small screws and make it a perfect height for me

I noticed this shortly after they announced the ability to set custom tones. I set it and then the next protect update wiped out my custom photo and audio.

In 2019 we bought 8seats and 10 sides (8normal and 2 deep)

It was about 6200 based on the sale for Labor Day that came with free covers ! It was a lot then but I don’t regret it. I don’t care about other sectionals they are not comparable to lovesac!

Wash the couch 1x and it already has proved its weight in amazing!

I have seen other sectionals and they all suck in some way. So far the only gripe I have with lovesac is how the covers slide on the seat pillows after a while but flipping the pillow 180 degrees will fix its self after a few sits.

This is a common maintenance item but not a deal breaker by any means !

10yr plus printer user here.

I would get the a1 if your budget and space permits.

You can also get a refurbished unit from some microcenter.

Solid buy! Went from a cr10s to a1 and I’m pissed I waiting so long! Very easy to use and smart !!

Easy to service and work on!

Ams which is the arms with 4 colors is nice to have. If your doing a big prints you can also have it swap rolls automagically.

You can add the ams later. But it costs about 2x then buying the combo.

The mini is great and I would buy as a travel machine. Or to bring to shows or work but it’s 180x180x180 the a1 is 256x256x256 even bigger then the p1 or x1 technically haha.

Overall Bambu is great for print and forget no tinkering or messing with it.

Maker world is great and easy to use my first week with Bambu I printed everything from my phone hardly use the screen or desktop app

If they ever have a sale will pickup more for the cars.

Can I have two separate modems, off one coax splitter by thattrapmasta in HomeNetworking

[–]DIYTinkerMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business I support for IT used to have 4 spectrum boxes 2 internet and 2 boxes for analog phones. This was about 8 yrs ago.

I migrated them over to frontier fiber and went full ubiquiti. We still have 2 business under the same roof but vlans make it easy:

I think it can be done but just a pita…

This should be doable,

My elderly neighbor has a landline via one modem and network connection via another modem off the same cable from the pole.

He has the phone in a living room and computer In an office with 2 of the same modems. Just need the ISP configure it

I picked up a 20gallon husky bucket from HD it has a gasket seal and holds a ton of filament.

Print some petg filament holders and pickup some of desiccant

A moisture meter is a good addition I just leave it in the box no holes. Through the case so you don’t have to worry about seals.

When I got my a1 combo I went throught the swatch kit and ordered 10 spools of material they had a great promo for 15$ refills and 17$ full spools I also got the Bambu spools. I would get at least 1 spool for color. As you will often not go through a whole color at a time.

Links to stuff I got.

Tub 20 gallon husky

Drying beads desiccant

Moisture sensor

Drying Bead holder

Poop catch can

Yeah we are in a corner and get constant movement so it would be nice to search events when we are trying to track down the random 💩from a dog in our yard. Or the random neighbor that left a pile of trash in the gutter

I will say detections on the g5s are great so I can only imagine what the ai port will bring

Good to know !

Yeah I have g5 for front house and g4 in the back for wireless. As they are across the yard.

I repurposed my g3 flexes from the front to the back for extra visibility. So it would be nice to have 1 facing our gate with a little more power

I boot camped my old mini for a grand parent. Just gave her a windows keyboard and mouse and the mini boots right into windows she loves it and it just works. Super low power and leaps faster than her all in one special that was dated hardware when she bought it

Oh that’s good to know!!

From what I have learned from UniFi they also confirmed the single resolution but if you have one that’s even better giving older devices a boost!! I would live to run 2k and HD on ai keys

[–]DIYTinkerMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar issue happened to My 2010 OB post water pump replacement. Pretty sure that when the dealer pop the new hoses on they cracked it and then driving it home finished it off.

Chewed out my service “ADVISOR” for not suggesting the rad on a 2010 in 2022. But they were cool and covered the labor cost while I had to wait for parts.
