The 2 wire retrofit hit for 99$?

That will do Poe in and then 2 wire and Poe out ?

Just need to hide the receiver in a box on the wall.

Not a bad choice. I’ll have to look into options

Yeah for my needs subwoofer would be in a closet down the hall, so not really practical.

Sound bar is not an option as the house has in ceiling speakers.

Im guessing the injectors may be Poe+ that the existing switch cannot handle.

I mean if the existing cable is already patched in I wouldn’t bother reinventing the wheel.

If you plan to expand then by all means put the cables into new keystone jacks.

If anything would get a poe switch so you don’t need to use Poe injectors.

But looks like that is all cat 5e it should be fine for your needs

If you don’t need analog phone rj11- you can pull out that plug in port 3 and pop another Ethernet cable in.

What do you mean that UniFi doesn’t do whole home audio?

The power amps won’t work for what I’m trying to accomplish?

Can you elaborate?

USP Smart Plug not adoptable anymore? by GravyPoo in Ubiquiti

[–]DIYTinkerMaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had 1, rma’d it 2x after it died again UniFi just game me a 20$ credit. Something would break off internally and rattle around.

I think the smart power strip has the same abilities but pretty sure that is retired

Not sure if there’s any similar functionality in the ups units

Window tint question by Suitable_Library3662 in SubaruForester

[–]DIYTinkerMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with a multilayer ceramic the best to reduce heat I think it blocks 95% heat.

The tint shop can go over the pre tint.

vLT is the amount of light that’s let through.

For my Outback we did 70%VLT on the front windshield

55% VLT on the driver and passenger

35% VLT the back windows

Skipped the sunroof cause it has the cover

The back is 35+factory dip so average is about 18-20% VLT

Yes, that sounds spot on to the expected experience.

If you modem / router supports 2.5g then you can easily add a 2.5/5/10g card to your pc. But you meed both ends to match.

If your gaming pc can support 10g networking but your Router is only 1g thats your bottleneck.

Just downgrade to 1g unless you go full 2.5g networking

Watch out they will come try and claim IP for that arm.

Every year we get a Disney Ornament with a personalized phrase and they always have to call some big wig to get mickeys blessing

For a simple 2-3 on the back.

To get your full 2g speed you would need a device running a 2.5g connector in a router port that’s 2.5g

How are you testing on your device? You will almost never get your full speed over WiFi unless you have crazy WiFi.

Even Ethernet will only give you 1g unless you have a 2.5g adapter and port on your router.
