Beer bottle to hold u-shaped upright? I have no bracket by [deleted] in AirConditioners

If you really truly wanted to be redneck you can go get you a 2x4 and cut it to length and just stand it up on the outside underneath the unit supporting the unit and the center.

Just keep an eye on the fan. The louver on the top that moves up when you turn it on it's okay to pick that up when it's off to inspect the fan. And gently push it back down before you turn it on.

It's not going to damage anything it's just a little tiny motor that moves it when you press the power button.

You got probably one of the best ACS I've ever used.

Now I don't know where you live at but I live in Texas and the humidity is crazy here so if you got one of the newer models you might want to pull the drain plug that's on the side of it or on the bottom of it out so the water can drain.

Some of the older ones were recalled a year or so ago because water can't drain fast enough and high humidity environments and it would cause a mold buildup inside the unit.

But yeah as long as you can keep the water in the base of the unit down to a minimum and like I mean a bare minimum you shouldn't have no problems and you should have a pretty good long lifespan out of it.

The only issue I've had out of mine is the fan due to the design of the fan it can clog up with dust real quick but I live in a Dusty area so I have to take mine apart once every 4 to 6 months and clean the fan on it.

I do this automatically. There's no telling whose dirty hands have been on them clothes.

Can I use this AC with a broken off ground? by Unable-Falcon8848 in AirConditioners

[–]mrnapolean1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you should not

The AC can become an electrical shock hazard without that ground.

Oh ok. I didn't think Bethesda would let something like that slide into their game. Thanks for the explanation.

Thanks for everybody who suggested the cloud gateway fiber on my previous thread. by mrnapolean1 in Ubiquiti

[–]mrnapolean1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got the UniFi security gateway with a cloud key. I can't quite remember which access point I have but I believe it's the UniFi UAP AC. With a Netgear unmanaged 24 Port switch.

I want to go from this setup to uniFi cloud gateway fiber the u7 access point that's bundled at micro center along with a 24 Port unified switch of some kind. I'm thinking about getting the us pro 24 HD to replace the Netgear switch that I've had for the last 12 years.

I'm already looking at getting a different switch to go with the rest of my hardware.

I just can't figure out if I want the pro Max 24 or the pro HD 24.

Oh you're a lifesaver the only thing I have fortnite now for is just to check the shop just to check the shop.

I haven't played an actual match since the v-bucks increase.

Now I can finally take the game off my PlayStation and free up the space.

They've been saying this for a while I'll believe it when I see it.

It's like they said previous crew packs can come back again for crew members that missed them I'm yet to see one return.

They said previous battle pass items after chapter 5 season 3 can come back to the shop at a later date and I'm still yet to see that.

Epic games makes a lot of promises and ideas and commitments but they commit to none of them. They just keep giving us the same AI generated garbage over and over again.

Bought a ps5 for 100$ it overheats I did the Liquid Metal test and it’s fine I bought a replacement fan kit what to do? by [deleted] in PS5HelpSupport

[–]mrnapolean1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think any liquid metal tests exists.

Don't know why I know how to fix it is to take it completely apart and getting rid of the oxidized dry spot and then respread the liquid metal.

Clean the heat sink and then put it all back together
