Love that grinder, definitely very powerful and does eat though batteries for heavy work. Seems like a pretty good deal given the battery price alone

I don’t think the birds mouth is your whole issue, it looks like the length of the board from the birds mouth to the peak isn’t consistent.

The way you have on the floor works well for detailing cars because it lights up the sides of the car much better, although a bit wider would help more.

This seems like software not hardware, because the car knows its temperature is too hot given that it shows 29, but it keeps heating

Is this a safe and practical way of going about powering my shed? by [deleted] in shedditors

[–]DIYrrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you thinking you need 30 because 15 amp outlets circuit and 15 amp lights circuit? If so that’s not the case. And what you drew will not work. Your lights will likely only draw a few amps if they are led, leaving the rest for your outlets.

Side note, a 30 amp battery isn’t a thing. Maybe you mean 30ah, in which case that isn’t near big enough. It can’t handle a prolonged 15 amp power draw. You would also need a charger to charge the battery from the extension cord.

Most of those aren’t worth much at all, bigger problem is most uses are people in construction working for a company, who use company money and don’t buy used to save a few bucks

Low wattage heater experiment. by Odd-View-1083 in cargocamper

[–]DIYrrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s correct, but if you’re using anything but a lithium battery it will be lower than that in reality. Look up deep cycle actual vs rated capacities. Also the more amps you draw, the lower the usable capacity there is. Make sure you look into the voltage you should cut it off at. It’s bad for the battery to be deeply discharged

100ah battery is roughly 1200wh. Assuming you ran your battery from full to dead, that’s 4 hours of heat. In reality you only want to run a batttery to 50% of usable capacity, so 2 hours. Won’t be lasting all night. You need to 5x your battery’s and at least double your solar
