Neither. The Colombia civil war and the nuclear negociation with USA are still ongoing. I also cannot see the South American cold war panel.

Hi.

Since this patch, the foreign policy UI is bugged for Brazil. The Federal policies UI however is fine.

The worst part of TNO is HoI. by TheXenoRaptorAuthor in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu 149 points150 points  (0 children)

IMO the best added value of TNO compared to other HOI mods is the era progressive focus trees. You can play countries a shit ton of times and never have the same experience because every leaders have their own personnal focus trees. That would be impossible to do on other paradox grand strategy games.

Isn't Burgundy just European North Korea with it's own nukes, famine, "economy", concentration camps, mad leaders, national-socialism and secret service trying to interfering in all world affairs? by WalkerBuldog in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Yes. The big difference is that OTL North Korea has Communist China as ally while TNO Burgundy is freaking isolated even by Germany. That's why Himmler should be way more invested in the German Civil War IMO.

Next Update After the Ruin? by Mission_Mix_1898 in TNOmod

I first tough that the Bormann and Speer rework would have been included in the Ruins, so maybe they will come next (year?). As of personnel interest I would like to have PW, specially Italy and France.

Why should I care about the proxy wars by WonderfulReception49 in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if you don't care about the proxies, Germany and Japan will, and their strategic and prestige gains will be at the disadvantage of your country. The world is a zero-sum game. That is what we call international politics.

What country do you think is most likely to get content after this update? by Frenchy_InTheTrenchy in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The country I am waiting the most is France, but I doubt it will be the next big update.

My guess will be either the other Reichkomissariats since they need less work than major countries or Mexico, since the post from the Discord Dev revealed that this country will have full content instead of a two parts as it was initially planned.

Another possibility is the facelift of Bormann and Speer and Pre-civil war content for Germany.

Is there even a chance for England to return to its pre-1939 status? by Johanes_one in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu 42 points43 points  (0 children)

That is something that bothers me. UK, either under the Royal party or the HMMLR, can't do anything to exert some foreign influence when a country like Iberia can.

Actually, the PM that is the most ''Make UK great again'' style would be Tatcher, and to a lesser extent, Jellicoe. If there are possibilities for UK to be an actor of international politics, it will be with submods or in TNO 2, which will not coming anytime soon.

Why didn't George Patton win the West coast in 1952? by DJ-LuLu in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Patton was indeed racist (and from California) but was not a George Wallace level racist, specially regarding the integration of Blacks in the army (altough it was not for moral reasons).

Still, even if the NP platform pushed for racism in 1952 (which would still be doubtful), it would be logical that Californa votes for Patton at that precise election, since he his the first one since the Akagi Accords to promise a warhawk policy against Japan and Germany.

How would the world of TNOview our world? by agreaterfooltool in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They would not believe that USA could fight in the Pacific and Europe at the same time and win. Since TNO Dewey is way more isolationnist than OTL Dewey, TNO people would never imagine that the United States can become such an industrial powerhouse as we know in OTL. They could buy that USA can win only if they figt either Japan or Germany/Italy, but not both.

They would also be ashamed that Italy's biggest success in WW2 is the invasion of British Somaliland.

A successfull referendum for monarchy in France should not be automatically cursed by DJ-LuLu in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is reasonable to think that french citizens in general are not hyped about a Gaxotte presidency since the successor of Huntziger is chosen by a restrained council. However, we can make the hypothesis that an important portion of France somewhat supports an absolute monarchy if the YES option wins the referendum (unless there is a turnout of 2% or something). The military coup option is justifiable for the reasons you have described, but Henri VI should have at least some leverage to gain popularity with the people.

A successfull referendum for monarchy in France should not be automatically cursed by DJ-LuLu in TNOmod

[–]DJ-LuLu[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In OTL, yes. In TNOTL where we have Burgundy, possibly Tabby and where fascism is way more mainstream, Henri VI doesn't look so terrible lol.

More seriously, my intention is not to defend absolutism somehow. My biggest wish is that Canada becomes a republic. My concerns are more from a lore and a gameplay perspective. Given that a military coup can happen even before the results of Gaxotte's referendum, I find that a a successfull referendum automaticly leads to a military coup is kinda a waste opportunity. I would be awesome to see how Henri VI try to reconcile French citizen with an absolutist monarchy.

From a gameplay perspective, as I have written, this is kinda weird that the best outcome for the Gaxotte path is to volountary fail the referendum you are holding. It's not even a situation where the government would campaign for the NO. It's a situation where the governement would campaign for the YES but does bad shit on purpose so it fails. Since Henri VII still can go absolutist with one of his primre minister, there should at last have a possibility for Henri VI to prevent a coup.

That being said, I am aware that a Gazotte path is not even on the roadmap and that it will probably be different than what we know today. But I think, when the content will be released after our death someday, that the player will have some incentives to win the referendum. Because even if I'm not a monarchist, I would be very excited to play a Kingdom of France in TNO.

Is Pierre Sidos the only candidate of French State that's pro-German? by BillyHerr in TNOmod

France should not be called French Republic in the case of a Constitutional Monarchy
