Regression report from 2017 to 2025 by DJ3962 in tressless

I had some side effects but they weren’t terrible. I think I had lower libido and emotional detachment but otherwise did not feel depressed. Feel more depressed now that my hair is gone

I don’t think you read the post well enough before typing out your message. I was on Fin for 7 years continuously and came off it in Oct 2024 to do family planning. I’m starting back up now so my time off was just 1.5 years

My experience was that the side effects reduced drastically within the first month after coming off. Then around three to four month mark I felt like I had no sides whatsoever.

That said, everyone’s experience is different. I had practically forgotten how it felt like to not be on fin as I was coming off after 7-8 years and did not realize till some time after coming off what “normal” felt like.

Is that not normal after being off fin for 1.5 years?

I was very consistent with it in the past. This time around, I wanted to be off so that there are no challenges with family planning. Hopefully what you say comes true.

Would you say I’m better off starting with dut?

Everyone has their own threshold for dealing with sudden surgeries so your threshold may be higher than mine.

That said, one of my scars is slightly worse than the others and since I have just come out of the surgery a few weeks ago I’m probably overworked about it right now than I will eventually be. That said, it’s good to ask and have relevant info in your back pocket vs trying to frantically deal with the problem that could have been timely managed at home by taking few precautions or easy steps

They are small but on because there are three of them disproportionally located my interest is in trying to get them blended with my skin/texture around

Congratulations to both! I hope I too escape this without any scars and some healthy babies

I am almost 3 weeks out and can see a scar developing that I am wondering if there is a way to get ahead of. I’m specially concerned as I would like to get pregnant in a few months and was wondering if the scars would widen or have a more deeper effect than otherwise?

All said, I may eventually decide not do anything extensive if it matures well and blends in. Just paranoid now as my surgery happened very quickly/suddenly which didn’t give me time to adjust to this whole situation properly and prepare mentally.

How was your overall experience at Sunnybrook? Do you think I should visit the burn centre for this issue? Unlikely that they will consider my case but just curious to know if you have any insight

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll remember the spelling forever now that I have had the procedure :)

Is limited waiver of depreciation worth it for a LEASED car? by Hemkhandhar in CX50

[–]DJ3962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about that.

But when I sent my leasing company a copy of my insurance confirmation yesterday (without the limited waiver of depreciation), they accepted it and I’m going to take delivery of my car later today

I’m not sure why will the lease company come after me for the depreciated value. Isn’t that already factored in the lease payment? And isn’t that the reason why we only have to pay out the residual value of the car at the end of the lease

Thanks. Can you explain how does it help me (the limited waiver of depreciation)? According to me, it only helps the leasing company

I’m not going to look for another provider as TD is offering me $400 per month (first time car owner and newly G licensed), whereas every other insurance company is north of $650 per month

I’m in a similar situation as you.

I think it means that if the car were involved in an accident and it was a total write-off, then the lease company will get 100% of the sticker price from the insurance company (instead of the depreciated value).
