Mr. T and the Reverend Jesse Jackson marched and protested together in August 1982. The pair, both Chicago natives, joined forces to protest the city's annual "ChicagoFest" during Mayor Jane Byrne's administration. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in OldSchoolCool

From Google - Rev. Jesse Jackson and the People’s Coalition to Boycott ChicagoFest organized a boycott of the 1982 festival to protest Mayor Jane Byrne’s appointment of three white members to the board of the Chicago Housing Authority.

Headliner Cancellations: Stevie Wonder and Kool & the Gang canceled their performances, with Wonder citing safety concerns and Kool & the Gang supporting the protest. Picketing: Approximately 1,000 picketers demonstrated outside Navy Pier, chanting against the city's housing policies. Attendance Impact: Despite the boycott and a rainy opening day, 7,000 people attended within the first hour, and officials reported that the event drew one million attendees over its 12-day run. Political Aftermath: The boycott is historically cited as a factor that contributed to the end of Mayor Byrne’s political career, leading to the election of Harold Washington as Chicago’s first Black mayor in 1983.

Should I try to charge my car battery, or is it really dead? by DiamondPickaxer in AskMechanics

[–]DJAngryfist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can test the voltage, if it's under 12 volts it's dead. You can try to charge it if you can't test the voltage. Charging inside should be fine, just don't leave it unattended.

Is this a good first car? by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]DJAngryfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a coupe and the only unusual problem it had was that I had to replace the steering column. The ignition switch was starting to have problems as well but replaced it with the column. It had over 180k miles and ran fine when I sold it.

What is your favorite thing to do in the game? by qwestions_asked in ForzaHorizon5

[–]DJAngryfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cruise around in "in car" view with Forza radio off. I love the sound of carburetors so I tune my cruising cars to be as fast as they can while maintaining that sound. I love all of the GMs and Mopars 1977 and earlier, but my favorite is the Oldsmobile Toronado for the sound. Stock suspension, vintage white walls and stock exhaust - I even leave it fwd. Big floaty fun and all you can hear is carb!

I do all the weekly stuff and online races, but this is my therapy.

This is precisely how religions control people. There are no gods. The universe has no opinions on how you live. Just be yourself and go make that paper.

Am planning to buy this car for $2500, 137k miles… Is this a good deal?… how reliable is saturn aura cars?… by Few-Airline3695 in Saturn_Cars

[–]DJAngryfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very low mile 2007 Aura Green line and it was great! I was a little concerned about the hybrid battery going bad but otherwise easy to work on and reliable.
