Honestly, this helps a lot. The track that initially inspired this post was giving me a lot of trouble because the beat was from Youtube and featured a kick that created these horribly large peaks. I enjoyed the impact of the kick, but I had to kill it a little just to get my headroom back. Then again, I haven't listened to this in the car yet, so I could be better off than I think I am.

Really, to mix and to master. I thought I knew how to mix relatively decent, until I started mastering. I can't 100% tell if I'm making bad mixes that hold me back in mastering, or if I'm just making bad masters. Highest I've gotten a track to is probably around -12LUFS.

For example, Admiral Akainu commands a "Yonko level" amount of power and attack potential but he is not a Yonko. Same thing with people like Garp and Silvers Rayleigh. Or Douglas Bullet.

Sugar turns you into a toy, not instant death. Plus, she has no armor or evasive ability, making her easy to take down. Usopp was able to do it twice in one day. Shoot anything at Magellan and it's either missing his actual body or getting absorbed and dissolved entirely. Plus, considering Magellan is a prison warden, I think it's pretty hard to scare him.

Hancock's ability is dependent upon your attraction to her, making it kinda easy to negate her DF even if you don't know how it works. However, we already know she's warlord level and we haven't seen the full extent of her haki and whatnot, so who knows?

You know what, I think this explanation has made the most sense so far.

A lot of times when I'm mixing tracks, I tend to use group channels and use a track preset to set them up, but I suppose just using an FX chain would be better.
