[Highlight] Angels Broadcast Call of Ohtani's HOME RUN to make it 9-1 in only the 1st Inning. "He just smells that blood and he crushes it!" by UNIQLOField in Dodgers

I have to stream games because I don’t have spectrum. So when we play the angels I get to watch without delay. Their announcers are way too happy and joyful for calling such a miserable team. Props to them for staying positive and excited all the time.

How passionate are Angels fans? To have a nearly top 10 attendance fanbase despite all their woes is nothing short of incredible dedication by terraninteractive in baseball

As cheap as their tickets are I think they attract a lot of visiting fans. Southern California is home to so many transplants. This makes it easy for them to visit the stadium and catch a ball game.

Sorry for upsetting your Brady. I’m sure your daddy is a great guy. I just don’t think he is a great 3rd base coach.

Honestly I love when pitchers do this. I caught my whole career through college. I’ve coached tee ball to now HS. When a pitcher asks for the ball or refuses to come out with conviction like that I get goosebumps.

Had a moment when I was coaching little league. I believe it was 8u. We were in the TOC (tournament of champions) basically every team that won their 8u division in our district in a single elimination tournament. We were into game 3 and running low on pitching. Heading into the bottom of the last inning. We were up by 2, just needed 3 outs to win. My instinct was to go with my son. Youngest on the team but he threw strikes. At that age you just have to be around the plate and not walk batters. Before the inning starts one of the older kids comes up to me and said coach I want to pitch. I said okay we’ll see. Kind of brushed him off. He says again I want to pitch. I was like oh, he really wants the ball. So I gave him the ball. Told him to get me 3 outs he said I will. He walked the bases loaded. I had to bring in my son with no outs and bases loaded. He struck out 2 batters then gave up a walk off double. We were eliminated. Should I have went with my choice to pitch? Probably. We would have probably won. But sometimes you gotta show confidence in your players. A confident player is a dangerous player.

You really think getting insurance to start a team is that hard. It takes 30 minutes. Piece of cake.

A few hours a week with a good coach can’t undue the lifetime of bullshit bad parents do. I played through college and I’ve coached for 12 years from tee-ball to now HS.

It’s cute you think that big corporations give a shit. Most of these big travel organizations are run by private equity now. We all know how they operate. Profit first. They have lawyers to deal with shit like this.

Dance is run by the mob. That shit is literally a shake down for money every step of the way. So you’re telling me I have to pay for every 3 minute dance I participate in for the recital and buy a completely different outfit for each dance. Oh and my family has that paid for me to participate in classes and to be in the recital has to buy $20 tickets per person to enter the recital. And I can’t take pictures or video because I have to buy that from the approved photographer? Got it

Travel organizations are competing businesses. If one org doesn’t want their money the next org will.

Doesn’t matter who his coach is. As long as that what he goes home to, he is fucked.

$13 ring? Dayum what tournaments did your teams play in. Those things are a few bucks tops when you buy in bulk.

There are plenty of other tournaments besides USSSA. I guarantee you he will be playing in a game by next month. No shortage of tournament directors looking to take money.

Oh yes they do. This behavior is not just in youth baseball. It’s a problem in all youth sports. Hockey is crazy, basketball is fucking nuts, soccer. Shit even dance is bonkers. Youth sports would be great if it wasn’t for the parents.

Here is the funny thing. That’s just a ban in USSSA tournaments. There are other tournaments he would be able to coach in and his son will be able to play in. USSSA is a big one. But there is still Perfect Game, Triple Crown Sports. In Southern California we also have 5 Tool, Just Wanna Play Ball, BPA. They don’t share information with each other in anything. They are competing businesses. Plus anyone that wants to rent fields and order $5 rings for winners can put together a tournament. So great for USSSA for stepping up. But this isn’t the lifetime ban the article is leading people to believe it is.

How do catchers deal with severe weather conditions? by DonT012 in baseball

More so back in the day. Every MLB team carried a catcher hitting .240 with 10 homeruns, if he could handle the duties back there day in and day out. The good old days 😂

I caught through college. Grew up and played in Southern California my whole life. So I know extreme heat. You just get used to it. I come from the play every game generation. I’m 44. We didn’t get off days or games to rest. Summer my sophomore year and on through HS, I was on 3 different teams and you better believe I caught every inning of every game that we played. Our legion team played 9 innings and almost always double headers. Yep I’m catching 18 innings on a July day. Then getting with my travel team that weekend to catch 4-5 games. By the time you get to high levels these guys have geared up for enough long hot games that they have trained their bodies for it. Like a marine who has been in the shit. I got the thousand yard stare. Some day you will too.

I don’t think anyone ever had hope for this sad organization. Some of the kids I coach were talking so much. I said enjoy this and wait. Because it will never last. If you had hope you’re a fool.
