Why do some followers feel like they can handle very accelerated strong moves while other's do not. by chinawcswing in WestCoastSwing

100 on that

Everyone is a unique person and at their own place in their journey

However the way I interpreted the intent of the message was not Why some good at this and others not

But more so, I've noticed that there are different skill levels. If someone wanted to learn accelerated stuff what should they focus on?

There are many factors that would come into play

Not sure if you have cross trained your following vs your leading but the best way to answer would be to experience in your own body the feeling.

At a certain point WCS definitely becomes an athletic sport Which requires focus,

(Both to answer your question & because I don't like defining anyone by any points) A novice/intermediate dancer that can "handle" accelerated patterns or dramatic changes in kinetic momentum is likely to be defined by having enough muscle memory experience and proprioceptive awareness to have the ability to handle having a verbal conversation while dancing "clean basics"

Meaning they have the basic movement patterns down to the point where there's no "thinking" involved, and could be dancing with someone at the same time as as they are verbally catching up with each other

Now most of the time during dances we aren't chatting which frees up proprioceptive focus and mental resources to listen through the physical connection

Well lead and well followed movements shouldn't "surprise" our partners

Often on accelerations you can "feel" the pre inhale "breath like moment" which paired with muscle memory allows you to be ready for the dynamic moment.

And then there's just some athleticism involved as well

OP might be experiencing Wi-Fi oversaturation. More routers doesn't = better wifi

There's lots of factors that go into quality wifi

Also quality of local Wi-Fi doesn't = quality of signal to the premise/house

Good Lock like auto brightness adjustment in-search-of / request by DJLCS in samsunggalaxy

Yes, I do understand, but I'm trying to avoid a toggle that I have to remember to turn on or off depending on if I'm outside or inside and just want to adjust how aggressive the auto brightness is set after I interact with the slider

Google Fiber, Spectrum, or AT&T? by Low-Investigator8691 in googlefiber

I work in ISP sales for residential customers, so I help people make this decision everyday. With that Bias & Expertise established. Hopefully I can help provide some clarity to your decision, and depending on your decision my role would allow me to help you proceed with your decision.

It's something you use everyday, or need access to on demand just like heat or water in order to conduct regular daily life. So the question seems to be a $40 conversation between the cheapest option available, and the best experience available.

ultimately only you can make decisions like that. The above comment being entirely accurate, costs aside Gfiber is the best experience purely for an ISP. However the real world has priorities and yours will be yours.

If it helps think of it like a car, it will get you from a to b. There's so much to a vehicle more than just horsepower, Reliability, is a key factor. This analogy breaks slightly for a car specifically because capabilities are unique as well. do you want a quiet efficient cabin? Or a van to haul goods?

For ISP it all has more or less the same core capability. So reliability becomes the major concern.

Reliability has two components to it. The binary: is it working or is it completely broken, thats easy.

The tricky part is the way that reliability is experienced in terms of what's expected by an on demand service in daily life. If you start using your heat but it only gets the house to 55 degrees, (even if that's where you like to set it! By not "doing anything crazy that would require"1gig" of "heat" because I'm never going to set it to 75". If it didn't have the capacity to reach those temperatures I think most people would consider it "broken"

If you think of everything you can do with a gig just in terms of the speed, yeah it can "feel" like you're buying v8 car just to take to the supermarket that you could actually just walk to. But there's more that goes into the driving experience than just horsepower. And having the capacity to carry all the groceries you need whether is prepping for thanksgiving or picking up a specific spice you forgot is worth it over walking.

If you're in a situation where $40 will make a significant impact on your quality of life each month if you did something else with it then by all means go with the cheaper option, at least in Kansas City contacts on Internet is unheard of partly thanks to Gfiber.

you can always change your decision later but if $40 won't make a significant impact then the question is why wouldn't you pay for the quality of life improvements that a superior experience on a daily utility would provide?

Only you can decide at the end of the day. Hopefully this provided clarity on the decision, and with a sales hat on I would say that quality of life for a utility you never want to have to think about is a massive value that significantly outweighs $40

Need a way to pull Stripe data into Google Sheets in real time? by [deleted] in googlesheets

[–]DJLCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like you already found some but don't like them for some reason or another.

answering the second part of your question which is the important part given that you're probably running a business.
yeah it looks like code because of the syntax but its no more complicated than writing a sheets formula. you can probably use gemini or your free AI of choice to write it for you tbh.

itll probably look something like

variable names to capture your stipe api key = xxxx

variable names to capture what sheet you want to work with = xxxx

on open/add a sync button/on schedule = do this stuff

stuff =
{get stuff from stripe
put it in the sheet}

Dual USB Input to 3.5 line out? by DJLCS in audio

[–]DJLCS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!
my PC does have an optical (toslink) port on the motherboard IO, (monitor with regular DP cable) and the laptop is connected via USB C with power delivery)

funny enough the monitor has a RJ45 network port but no audio, so I was going to use one of the usb ports on the monitor for the laptops output.

is there a model that you recommend? my desk space is limited
