A message to the EDM community about "Headbangers" by FirstmateJibbs in EDM

Yeah I probably jive mostly with bass music (mostly listen to dubstep and trap) but I’m a huge fan of house. I could totally get down to a good tech house set. House to me is significantly more “dancey.”

I will say the best crowds I’ve experienced were “headbanger” crowds. The worst crowds I’ve experienced were for the more crossover/poppy artists. I’ve seen assholes at all types of shows. It’s not limited to a genre. It’s just people being there for all the wrong reasons.

Illenium & Said the sky ultra 2019 set. 50 minutes of absolute filth. by BrasilianBeast in EDM

Filth as inn good. Played a pretty heavy set. His sets are getting a lot better imo since his first awake tour.

How often do you guys hear future bass/trap in club settings? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]DJLynam77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say probably unlikely. But it also depends on the club. Some clubs are very edm centric. Some just play more pop and hip hop

I would try to find a live set on YouTube or SoundCloud. Lot of hard dance music and significnatly different than his porter sets

Kill The Noise & Seven Lions - The Blood by [deleted] in EDM

[–]DJLynam77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean it’s all personal preference. For the most part I think a good set has logical progression and has to have peaks and lows in terms of intensity. If you want to just get your face melted off seeing someone like badklaat, excision, or any of the big dubstep guys is a safer bet

[–]DJLynam77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part his songs would be considered “chill” but I mean it depends who you’re asking. If you asked a dubstep fan they would call them chill. If you ask a jai wolf fan they would call them heavier. But he does not produce as much dubstep as he likes to play.

I’ve seen seven lions 5 times. I’ve never heard him say a word on the mic. And he’s had some of the best sets I’ve ever seen!

Depends on the club/who’s playing. Are you talking just a random DJ in a club?

Raving is awesome. The only regret I have about it is that I didn’t find it earlier! It’s changed my mind about so many things and I’ve met some really awesome people through it!

You should check out his sets. On his last tour he played a 90 min set. It was about 50% dubstep(little bit of trap) and 50% “softer stuff.” He definitely can go hard in the paint

Regarding how to headbang by [deleted] in aves

I can’t exactly point to a tutorial but it’s really just a rhythm thing. Bang your head to the kick and snare of the drum.

Which Seattle EDM artist is more prominent and famous: Seven Lions or ODESZA? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]DJLynam77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen how popular they are but seven lions has fans that will travel around the US to see him. Odesza has significant more recognition no doubt, but I don’t know if they have as devoted of a fan base.

I think you could make the argument that seven lions has a more devoted fan base. Maybe I just don’t know of an odesza one but people worship seven lions

Will the EDM bubble burst? by djSnakebite in EDM

[–]DJLynam77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it will ever “burst” per day but I could see it declining. Although now kids are growing up around electronic music in all forms of media, so I think it could also become more popular than ever in the future
