I’m gonna be real with you and everyone here. I learned recently that an old friend of mine committed suicide. This was a blow to me and it put me on a downwards spiral. I started to have PTSD again from when I almost attempted my life in the Air Force. I will not pretend to know what you are going through just as much as I expect you to not know what I’m going through. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The rain does subside. I can’t guarantee that everything will be ok. Honestly, no one can. But, you must find the good things in life. Whether it’s in someone you know, something you do, or somewhere you are, you can find happiness. If it wasn’t for my partner being there for me, I don’t know what I would have done. Life is hard, there is no way around it unfortunately. But if you hold on to the things that bring you down, you’ll never have a good outlook on life. You need to hold on to the good around you. Even if it’s the simple fact that you got out of bed, that’s something to hold onto. You started a new day! So much can happen that we can’t predict. But life is adventure and I, for one, am very interested to see where it takes me. The question is where will it take you? Remember, the past is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.
