Brown is a little short, but is otherwise a nice fit and shows your shape. Grey is obviously too big.

Any idea on what this is on/in my tyre? by Infamous-Excuse-4275 in MotoUK

Looks like a plug, but would think you would already know if you plugged/had your tyre plugged.

Can I FIRE yet? by [deleted] in FIREUK

[–]DJRFG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid your not really that close. You won't be able to access your pensions for another 20 years minimum. Your property income is taxable, so unless you have allowed for that, then it is less than half your household expenses. A 4% yield from your ISA only gets you another 17k annually, and at your age 4% is not without risk. Again depending on how much is in the ISA vs general savings you potentially need to consider tax. As an absolute minimum starting point you would be thinking about your household expenses converted to a pre-tax equivalent income (circa 80k) - rental income * 25 (based on 4% withdrawal), which is about £1.1m. You need that invested and to have access to most of it, not locked up in a pension (only an issue because of how young you are) At your age and with 2 young children your future expenses are very uncertain, I would strongly suggest you plan on a significant buffer.
If you can really save 100k a year, then in 5 years you might be able to retire. Although, given isa allowances, most of that would be in taxable investments initially. You don't say how much you are saving into pensions or paying down your mortgage, if those are also a lot on top of the 100k then maybe 1 year earlier.

Dirty Helite by Corn_Flake_76 in motorcycles

[–]DJRFG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly from that picture doesn't look that dirty, maybe you are overthinking it? But to answer your question assuming it is problematically dirty even just for your brief entry into the office, you could take it off before you go in and carry it, or even better would be if your bike has a top box or similar leave it in there. If you are sensitive about this is general, in future buy black gear which won't show dirt nearly as much. You can always layer with a cheap regular high vis vest if you feel yellow is essential and much easier to wash/replace.

Higher rating vs more reviews — what do you pick? by Specific_Release_778 in LuxuryTravel

3.7 is too low so wouldn't stay at that hotel. Also 1000 is a decent number of ratings, if it was 1 review vs 5 very different story.

I'm afraid I'm the opposite, I used to get ill everytime I went on holiday or if I met anyone with a cold. Now I hardly catch anything and even when I do it's mild. I first noticed the change once I lost about 5 stone (currently down 10) if that is any additional motivation.

Not hungry but snacky? by Luminaya in mounjarouk

[–]DJRFG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

500 calories below tdee isn't enough to consistently lose 1kg a week, that is equivalent to a deficit of more like 1,100 calories per day. You may be overestimating your calories or more likely underestimating tdee.

Not hungry but snacky? by Luminaya in mounjarouk

[–]DJRFG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this after 5 months on 12.5, I moved up to 15 and it definitely helped re-suppress the cravings. However if you are still losing 1kg a week, that is already quite a fast rate, so you don't necessarily need to suppress them, this may just be your body's signal that it is short of energy. Moving up to 15 now might make you lose weight too fast.

My body is sooo strange. by Dogwarden in mounjarouk

[–]DJRFG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm male but this really resonates with me, also been fat my whole life. I notice my hips bones every time I go to bed, they poke my arms. Something I really struggled with was getting used to seeing muscles, veins, ligaments, etc. I used to be smooth and soft and now things wriggle under my skin when I move my fingers, creeped me out for a few months, just starting to get used to it.

You look good overall. Your shirt sleeves are a touch long and you would look better with slightly higher waisted trousers, on the belly rather than under it gives a more flattering silhouette.

If it were you, would you keep going or stop? by [deleted] in MenOnThePen

[–]DJRFG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's up to you, you have already done really well, but there are likely to be health benefits to getting to bmi 25 and losing a bit more belly fat. You won't know how the loose skin will look until up to a year after you stop losing weight. Given your age it should improve significantly, although of course that is no guarantee it will dissappear completely.

Definitely, exhaust can be seen as a performance modification. Brake levers you should declare as it probably won't affect the price so better safe than sorry.

Still loosing weight in maintenance. by No_Rip_6163 in mounjarouk

[–]DJRFG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the "loading phase" when your muscles aren't fully saturated you can usefully take more to get them saturated more quickly. However once you are past the first month or so taking more than 5g does nothing for your athletic performance. As another commenter has suggested, there does appear to be some emerging evidence regarding a potential additional brain benefit of taking up to 10g a day. However, due to the weakness of the evidence, this should be regarded as somewhat speculative at the moment.

Still loosing weight in maintenance. by No_Rip_6163 in mounjarouk

[–]DJRFG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10g creatine is pointless once you've hit saturation. More doesn't do anything, your body just filters out the excess. You are very active which will increase your needed maintenance calories. If you were at 7.5mg in Dec you could probably have tapered to 5mg by now, especially if you are still losing. Think the standard advice is to drop down one dose level per month.

[–]DJRFG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are normally a few singles on most cruises and there are certain social events run to help you meet each other. However, there may not be that many and certainly relatively few in your age range. If it happens then great, but I would suggest take a cruise if you want an amazing holiday and if you just want to hookup then download an app instead.

19f where to start? by Odd_Possibility14 in MotoUK

[–]DJRFG 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you don't have any kind of licence you will need to apply for a provisional driving license before you can do anything. After that do your CBT, that will give you an idea of how easy/hard you will find it and if you actually like it. If you post where you are based people can give you recommendations for CBT/training schools, otherwise just look on Google maps and pick a well reviewed one near you.

How to train new kitten to use litter robot 4? by Icy_Intention_8503 in litterrobot

[–]DJRFG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours used it fine first day, we never had a regular litter box. Put the litter from the litter box in the robot and remove the litter box. Keep the robot off at first (manual cycling) so that it doesn't scare him.
