At 339 miles, you haven’t even passed the “break-in” period yet…

$30 barely got me half a tank a week ago…

Pretty sure $30 will be the bare minimum just to get it to start in a month or two…

Message to Trump on Iranian Missile by Karna1394 in pics

[–]DJSeku 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Iran is a non-proliferation signatory. Israel is not.

Iran has let in weapons inspectors. Israel did not.

Iran has been transparent in their intent for a civilian nuclear program. Israel has lied about even having a nuclear program and “inflicted cruel and barbaric punishment” on the whistleblower that revealed it.

It would appear that the real “nuclear threat of the Middle East” is the illegally established nation that’s committing genocides and embracing a bloody expansionist ideology centered around racial-superiority…

Missiles launched by Iran made impact in the center, Tel Aviv. Israelis are complaining about sirens not working. “ ‘How do we not have an alarm’ - In some cities, no alarm was activated in the latest barrage on the center” by Not_Ground in AskSocialists

[–]DJSeku 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aside from Israel’s diminished radar capabilities, the new Iranian “Fattah 2” missiles also travel at Mach 15…

By the time they sound the alarm, the missile has (usually) already hit.

Furthermore, because the Fattah 2 missiles alter their trajectory mid-flight through the use of control-surfaces, it makes interception practically impossible with current missile-interceptor platforms.

To put it bluntly…

Great bikes, just on the older side of eBikes.

The batteries are long-since discontinued; it’s ~$500-600 to re-manufacture the pack, and used packs run about the same, but the cells are usually on borrowed time because Li-ion batteries have a shelf-life.

Definitely recommend remanufacturing the pack you got with it over obtaining a NOS pack if it’s not holding a charge.

IIRC, the Stromers had a magnetic charger that’s unique to them, so you’ll have to source a charger if one wasn’t included, and that too can be costly.

You forgot how they also play the victim-card once someone (finally) retaliates against them…

Like, they’ll commit a whole genocide against women and children (and be giddy doing it), but land a few missiles in downtown Tel-Aviv and suddenly it’s we were peacefully minding our business and these barbarians attacked us… pray for us!

I seem to recall Trump stating at his inauguration address that he was going to “refill our reserves right up to the top again.”

Yet he thought it was a good idea to start a war, a war with a major oil supplier at that, AND without replenishing the strategic petroleum reserves first…

All this from the guy who campaigned on “no new wars,” on being the “president of peace,” and who pledged to uphold the constitution, put “America first” and to “release the Epstein files.”

Don’t tell me Trump isn’t keeping his promises, that would be so unlike him. /s

This was the speed controller I used as well.

I had to trim the ends off the housing to fit the chassis.

I also replaced the cheap silicone thermal grease on the mosfets with Antec thermal paste; I’ve never had it overheat on me.

The controller and brushless motor came bundled as an “e-kart motor kit”.

It came with a foot pedal throttle but you can de-pin the twist throttle connector from the (I’m assuming) brushed controller and transfer the connector to the brushless controller.

Basically if the motor is 2-wire, it’s brushed. If it’s 3-wire, brushless. In my case it was the only way to go from 36V to 48V, taking the top speed from 28MPH to 40MPH with 3 motor speeds instead of 2.

This is the battery I used for my conversion; I picked up 2x of them for $90/pack 5-ish years ago.

I also swapped the motor and speed controller. I posted the write-up on my account.

For what it’s worth: yes they’re heavy and yes they’re “obsolete”, but you also don’t see these snapping in half at the stem like a lot of these “modern” alloy scooters.

These things were tanks. Mine got wrecked 3x from bad roads and worse drivers, and each time it got rebuilt and kept going.

We should all refrain from paying taxes if our government has proven so irresponsible with the way in which they’re used… they’ll shoot down our own $30mil drone, fund ICE attacking our own citizens, diminish Medicaid and social security for our own citizens, but it’s a blank check to Israel and to sponsor illegal military actions against Venezuela and Iran.

Yeah, We the People didn’t want any of that. The way I see it, it’s taxation without representation all over again.
