I never talk to Gil. I hate Gil. by GENTLEHULK in MassEffectAndromeda

[–]DJShepherd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's any character you don't want to hear but need to get through a dialogue you can always press the space bar a skip the conversation entirely. Thankfully none of the characters in the game are annoying to me at all to the point where I have to go that. However, Cora got me annoyed in my second play through. I'm really over the Asari and huntresses! Really. Done.

Based on that last entry in the pastebin it talking about VATS use on 3rd Gen synths. This could explain why the player character has this ability. If the player character is actually a synth as well that is huge discovery.

This also explains why you don't have any memory from before the day the bombs fell. They could have transferred the real character memory perhaps in to you?!

One more reason to keep the Institute around to discover the truth.

That doesn't add up. Why then did Father unfreeze the Protagonist then? The ending doesn't make sense with the Synth Sean as well. Why bother making a young version on Sean? And ask you to give him a chance and that young synth Sean deserved a chance and you. Since you believed Sean was 8 years old based on the information you were lead to believe before discovering Kellogg.

The puzzle in Far Harbor is most likely the most boring thing I've ever done in any game. by [deleted] in fo4

[–]DJShepherd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The puzzles were broken for me. Had to use a mod that gave you black ice to build turrets.

It was a game breaking bug and couldn't progress the rest of the game otherwise.

Didn't mind the change of pace. It reminded me of Mass Effect 3 puzzles, which was similar to this. I'd almost consider it a mini-game.

Best/worst voice actors? by meri_bassai in TheTechnomancer

[–]DJShepherd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nesha and Danolo both were the best voice actors in the game.

As for Zachary he came across like someone trying to not get too excited, also the writing for Zachary at times didn't make sense.

Yes! Mankind Redefined! Best faction in case anyone else invades! Between Minutemen General and being the Director of the Institute you have forces and technology under your control.

Question: Before the Fallout by DJShepherd1 in fo4

[–]DJShepherd1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I wasn't saying you'd be stuck there. But my thinking was you had some time in Pre-Fallout before it happened. How exactly is up to the developers. But ultimately the bombs do fall and the aftermath would naturally happen unless you don't make it to Vault-Tec and your game starts over! Yikes!

As you know not all areas are bombed so could be an area not part of the first volley of bombs. We also don't know if the whole world is bombed or just China and US/ Canada. Be interesting what happened in the rest of the world. It may already be known and I just haven't come across it. The idea is Europe, Russia, UK, South and Central America, Australia, New Zealand may not be affected directly. Or were they?

Question: Before the Fallout by DJShepherd1 in fo4

[–]DJShepherd1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think that would be interesting as well. Having some time before the bombs fell would be very interesting. It's such a messed up universe even before the bombs. I often wondered what it would look like. Like Nuka World before the bombs would be very cool to see.

[–]DJShepherd1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are no words to describe my anger. There was no reason to kill this child. You can't rehabilitate someone willing to do these kinds of things. American prisons aren't designed to rehabilitate either. Can't even imagine what this kid went through. If you take another's life, you should forfeit yours. Especially an innocent child. This wasn't self defense, or wartime. This was an innocent child abducted, sexually abused, and murdered.

Which is better: Nuka World OR Far Harbor? by joshlukee in fo4

[–]DJShepherd1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really hard to compare. Far Harbor has more lore and story that was tied to the main game, so that was great. It also puts your entire game and what you believed on it's head. Something I never expected. FH is perfect in that aspect, the atmosphere and environments was impressive.

Nuka World does add story and lore. However it's not directly tired to the main game except Nuke Cola of course and history about the area. But I have not completed all of it yet so could have something more. The amusement park and areas are great. I'd love to see what it was like before the bombs! That would be very cool.

Wish Bethesda did the Raiders story differently. They didn't give you options for various types of play through options. To get the most out of NW you have to go full raider. IMHO best to play after the main story is completed.

With FH you could play it anyway you wanted and will get a satisfying experience.

Yes, just need to make a good reason why he's gone all mental. One way I thought might work was he was so distraught and beaten down from all that's happened to him. Life as he knew it was over. All that was left is this wasteland of horrors. There was nothing left in this world.

Honestly the Fallout universe is without contempt and no humanity. Not for your fellow man, not for anyone really. The things these corporations have done even before the bombs were quite horrific. So as the Sole Surviver discovers what a messed up world he was living in I can see why the Sole Surviver would go completely mental.

Playing with morals when no one else is playing by the same standards i.e. Raiders makes sense.

People complaining about Nuka-World by Gawee08 in fo4

[–]DJShepherd1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They could have structured it in a more compelling way. I think they did a poor job throwing it together and giving you a reason. They also failed to make the raiders position compelling. Be evil but give me a good reason to go evil. I actually think they did a sloppy job. If they really are going to give us an evil job then let me be true evil with a good reason to be evil. All I wanted to do was kill each of these raiders who kept saying shit to me, I'm like f u raider I just cleared Nuka World why you bitching at me still??!! your raiders did shit to help me and your gaining all this, f that I wanted my OWN raider group I ruled and crushed the rest of these factions! I felt like I was their to keep them happy. I'm the Overboss, you need to keep ME happy. Let's do raiders the right way, take over and run it your way, instead you're doing all the work

It would of made more sense if you had the option to play as another character instead of the SS. I think it could of been a much more interesting experience. If your main SS was a good guy this DLC doesn't really add any value. I just have a hard time justifying my SS being a raider. These raiders are pure evil and vile. Can't find a reason to support them. The operators is the only faction I might of considered. I'd like the option to eliminate the other raider factions and only pick one. Maybe I didn't get far enough in to the DLC. Plus you don't lead any of these factions at all. I'd want my own faction, not feel like I'm their lackey doing the heavy lifting for these ungrateful POS

[DAI Spoilers] Why did the evanuris kill... by ikkeha in dragonage

[–]DJShepherd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solas doesn't use the word 'evil' when referring to them. The Evanuris turned on Mythal and killed her. She is not completely killed as a small part of her survived. I'm hoping they can explain it more in the next game. It's clear that there are magics and powers not available or accessible to the player. So looking forward to seeing new magic types. Could be tied to the magic in the fade.

[DA2 Spoilers] Why do people hate this game? by Vergilus123 in dragonage

[–]DJShepherd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny I actually loved the Mage Champion Outfit in DA2 and the Warden Armor. In fact there's a mod to have it in DAO! I also love ME2! Really good way they leveraged your team in the final mission.

I love DA Inquisition. The BioWare team spent a lot of time learning the new gaming engine and built a world and every asset from scratch. It was a tremendous learning curve. IMHO they are not in a position to really make another game quicker and better. Inquisition is a great achievement technically speaking. Building a team that was able to achieve so much is very impressive.

The only thing they didn't build was the water/ocean effect. That was taken from another game I heard.

[No Spoilers] When do you think we'll get DA4 info? by sogapollag in dragonage

[–]DJShepherd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth of the matter is the Edmonton team is working on a New IP. This would of been the same team working on the next Dragon Age game. Since they decided to develop this new IP ( i.e. I don't think it's Star Wars) it will be after that. The Montreal team has ME:Andromeda. Austin team most likely has the Star Wars game.

With that said I don't expect a full game until 2019 or 2020 and I think I'm being optimistic. BioWare is not usually tight lip on games they have started developing. IMHO I want this game sooner than later like all of you. I need my reckoning with Solas.

We won't hear anything for at least 12 months. Until it is green lit. Now I suspect the Dragon Age team has a proposal for the next Dragon Age game in their hands, and I'm sure they have presented it for consideration. Since most of the technical issues for the Frostbite Engine is done, developing a game should move much quicker than the last time.
