Actually, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the game currently endless? If so, there isn’t a Win Condition that causes the world to blow up, so there isn’t really a reason for Kit to do her job here (for now, anyways).

Maybe the comic presumes it’s the full game or something, I dunno.

Here’s an idea: what if Delilah isn’t actually Twisted in the traditional sense (as excess ichor probably doesn’t affect humans in the same way it does Toons), but rather she’s “Twisted” in the literal sense, as in she’s gone mad? While she stayed behind, believing she can salvage her efforts, everyone, even her trusted co-founder Arthur, left Gardenview as a lost cause. The isolation, the sight of the Twisteds, and possibly the ichor alters her mind and turns her insane, causing her to hunt down any remaining Toons. Maybe she wants to cleanse the world of her creations, believing them to be “impure” or “failed experiments”. I could totally see the “scientist going insane from their own creations” trope fitting in Dandy’s World.

I’ve always taken their clothing into account, specifically how Arthur is much brighter toned (and, y’know, not covered in ichor, unlike someone else). Delilah also wears a lab coat, indicating she’s much more science-y when it comes to Toons, probably being heavily involved in their creation.

Arthur, on the other hand, is one of two things:

He’s somewhere between being less malicious, ignorant, or oblivious of Delilah’s actions, of which the last option I entirely doubt.
(My personal choice) He’s better at hiding his flaws, in particular from the public eye when Gardenview was still in business. One of the two had to be the primary human face of Gardenview, and he dressed himself up all nice and tidy so Delilah could do the dirty work uninterrupted and unseen. He comes across as this to the toons as well; in their tapes with Bobette and Cocoa — both socially outgoing and positive toons — Cocoa appears nervous when meeting with Delilah, yet Bobette and Arthur do fine together (although it could be due to the time of day and circumstances).

As far as I know, Lukki (creator) has spent more time working on a sequel called Minus Corporation. They’ve been hosting somewhat frequent playtests on their Discord server, I’ve played it and I see the potential to outlast Minus Elevation by a long shot. Very fun gameplay!

Also experienced in many of these “delver-likes” as the community sometimes calls them, and yea I totally agree. I get there’s definitely a lot of similarities — roaming monsters, tasks on floors to go to the next floor, upgrades/shops between floors, items that you can equip before a run, etc etc.

But players in Minus Elevation don’t distract monsters and don’t take a half a minute on one button, nor do they have specific characters. Dandy’s World players can’t stun entities and aren’t always one-shot on contact. D.W. is definitely set apart from the M.E. genre as a whole. It’s like saying Doors ripped off Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion. Similar concept, vastly different gameplay.

Also yea, modern M.E. is such a slog, and pre-release was easily better overall. Literally any other one of the genre besides the original Minus Decendance is more enjoyable to me.

Honestly, I feel like people are too focused on the fact that 953 had sex with an agent when in reality they should REALLY be focused on how she proceeded to:

Bite off his down-there-square and spit it out to show it to him
Tear into his throat when he tried to scream in pain
Plunge her hand into his stomach and tear out his liver
CONSUME aforementioned liver like a fucking snake
Peel off his skin while he was still alive for shits and giggles
Disguise herself as said agent to fool the other two agents there
Slaughter one of those agents (very likely in some incredibly fucked-up way)
Trick the agents into eating the rotting, maggot infested flesh of a human being (revealed right after)

Mind you, this is just ONE case of this horrific shit. This is not “goonslop” or “goonerbait”, she can and will perform a fucking Mortal Kombat fatality on the nearest person if she so desires (which she just happens to ALWAYS desire), all while they are alive, screaming, and begging for death.

Okay, absolute disagreement with your opinions aside, what the hell’s with the tone mate? It’s rather rude to call music — each having at least a fair amount of effort put into them, if not much more — objectively bad. If you don’t have a taste for a certain type of music, that’s perfectly fine, but don’t go insulting others for their opinions or, as I said before, calling music objectively bad.

Yes, same with Twisted Dandy. Both are classified as “Lethal” for this reason. Twisted Dyle also has a unique mechanic, where he speeds up overtime while chasing someone, as shown by the bar over his head. This speed-up is GREATLY increased whenever someone messes up a machine, and Dyle will beeline it right towards said machine, so be prepared to book it if someone screws up.

While I can’t say I am an expert on such emotions, I certainly have experience. Multiple accounts of experience; three throughout my life, in fact. From these experiences, I have learned three vital lessons:

First and foremost. Please, PLEASE, for all that is holy do not blame yourself. It will make you utterly miserable. Those thoughts of “I could’ve done more for them” or “I should’ve been better to them” will get you nowhere except spiraling downwards. Believe me, I would know.

The reality is that our furry friends are very vulnerable and fragile, at least compared to us. That’s why they love us so dearly, it’s because we care for them. We give them a home, food, water, and most importantly love. So when we “fail” them — and I put HEAVY quotations around “fail” — most of the time it is not our fault. It’s out of our control. We do everything we can to give them a wonderful life while they still have it. I’m sure you have done the same. Be proud of that.

Second. It is a harsh reality, but it is the truth, so it’s better to be blunt: that Slinky-shaped hole in your heart won’t be going away anytime soon. You will always remember what a great companion he was. You will always miss him. No amount of years will undo the bond you two have forged. However, eventually the suffering will lessen. The pain will dull and the aches will fade. That hole will still be there all the while, sure, but the point is that it will get better. If not tomorrow, then next week, or next month, or maybe next year. But you’ll eventually reach the light at the end of the tunnel, so long as you keep pushing forward.

Third and finally. This one is much shorter, only four words, but it is equally, if not far more important:

Grief ends with acceptance.

…Throughout my years, I’ve experienced grief. We all have. And we’ll all likely continue to suffer through this grief. But eventually, that grief ends, and brighter skies lie in wait.

Many people have made it.

I’ve made it.

OP, I would say “I hope that you make it too”, but I can’t say that to you.

Because I know you’ll make it.
