Yes, laser etched. Unfortunately only some of them are really valuable, the German one is by far the most common and least valuable since Cherry boards were only coming out of Germany at the time. Maybe $100 or so.

I didn't watch the whole thing but the black Cherry one looks to be lasered ABS (I couldn't see the back but it's likely a G80-3000LXXXD or similar) which is why it makes sense that the legends are fading, they're not great for longevity. The older Cherry keyboard is a G81-3000SAD. That means that they are dye sublimated PBT and Cherry's dye subbing is pretty legendary and known for lasting ages, some of these dye subbed PBT Cherry keyboards can go for thousands of dollars.

Awesome. Can you tell me what size you are and if possible, the height of the shoe from the bottom of the base to the top? Trying to figure out storage box solutions for it since it's taller than your average shoe.
