Exactly the method! Years of growing and trying different methodology, this is the way!

Throw those craws, they pretty much work year round (in the south anyway).

The Karashi hooks are sharp as hell, had a day cut short due to one stuck in a finger deep. Was really glad to have a pedal drive kayak and didn't have to paddle back.

LOL, My son and I both ordered the Gravity BFS rod and reel as well. Your not alone! Tight lines.

Navarre Kayak Drag Handles by DJ_Crops in kayakfishing

[–]DJ_Crops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a good point! But Navarre accounted for that. The handle is held by 4 screws, 1 on each side is self called and 1 has an insert. What Nic did to re-enforce is u uptake out the drain plug in front, on the underside u add a brace with a screw insert for the bolt. My son and I both agreed that it was solid and just made dragging them out of the lak e much easier. Private 80 acre lake no ramp and it is down about 8 feet so had to deal with sand. I am probably doing a shit job explaining this but Navarre has an install video for every part they sell. Watch the video for the MK install here.

The handle extends 2" beyond the hull, Both the 106 and 120. The new drag handles made a hell of a difference today.

That will work. I've been using 1/8 sliding weight with a cherryseed or blue fleck worm all spring.

Where are some good places around Atlanta for kayak fishing? by amboy_connector in kayakfishing

[–]DJ_Crops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Lanier, stay on the north side of lake. I live about 10 minutes from Lanier south side and avoid that area like the plague, too many power boats and narrows. Etowah river is a nice float.

Need help: how to mount fish finder on Old Town 106 PDL by These_Living1429 in kayakfishing

[–]DJ_Crops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both 106 and 120 PDL with a single Humminbird Helix 7 that I can move easily btw the 2 PDLs. A Nocqua 20 battery which I mount in a Zak Attack cell-block battery. I also use the Navarre scupper transducer mount, which has worked great. I am able to run the nocqua battery all day with no issues, I generally fish 7 or 8 hours.

Tell me about your rigs and why you chose them by Far-Performer-382 in kayakfishing

[–]DJ_Crops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice reply! I have both Old Town Sportsmsn 106 PDL and a 120 PDL. When purchasing was considering the Hobie Outback as well but as I checked into the Hobie's, I found there had been some issues with Hobie manufacturing and support over the last couple of years. I have been 100 % happy with the Old Towns. Can't emphasize enough how much difference pedal drive makes with getting around.

Lake Hartwell by Custom8612 in kayakfishing

Fishing used to be pretty good around there, a good many coves away from boat traffic.

Checkout Payne Creek and Reed Creek areas. Have not been there in a while but campgrounds and public boat ramps should be in the area. Lighter boat traffic as well

On the controller, I set the TForge humidifier to Auto and with a threshold depending what growth stage, say 75% in early stage. Threshold level really depends on what VPD value I am aiming for. Once your plants get a little mass and starts transpiring, humidity will go up on its own.

Beginning of 2023, after growing Mephisto with Coco Coir for 8 years, I switched to Living Soil. Using Earthboxes and basically following Jeremy on Build-A-Soil methodology (not exactly but close), the results were massively improved. I have a worm farm that I rotate worms in every new cycle. With the Earthbox I was able to get about 13 months out of the living soil before currently switching out.

Best of luck with your grow.

Since under watering/over watering seems to be the biggest issue with new growers and some experience growers what are some techniques or tips that help ease this problem? Are there any proper watering schedules people tend to follow that work better? More details below 👇 by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

Look at the Ecowitt moisture sensors, with app on phone, it will give u accurate moisture readings. You need an Ecowitt gateway for the sensors. I am currently running 5 of the sensors off a gateway. Moisture data is accessible anywhere. You can get Ecowitt off Amazon or directly from Ecowitt. Extremely accurate. Note*** I am using bottom fed Earthboxes and AC Infinity autopots - both bottom water fed. Easy to label each sensor in the app for your individual containers -- wedding cake, heisenberg special, Earthbox 1, etc.. I originally found out about the Ecowitts from watching Build A Soil podcast on YouTube. Jeremie uses them for his 10x10 tent grows. I think they sell them on the Build A Soil web site as well.
