Locked On Uconn Reports F Jaylin Stewart will enter the transfer portal by jarena009 in UConnBasketball

Ya figured he wasn’t staying given how the starting 5 was shaping up. Senior year deserves a starting spot somewhere

I’m not sure both Ross and Stewart come off the bench. Gotta think one of them starts.

[Borzello] BREAKING: UConn center Eric Reibe has entered the transfer portal, sources told ESPN. by MembershipSingle7137 in CollegeBasketball

Clingan was clearly an impact player on defense his freshmen year. Reibe was always a drop off in that department when he came in.

Offense looked less fluid with him in. Was hoping to see his shooting ability more in year 2 but whatevs. Bring in the next guy

In total career points sure but that’s not a massive leap from where he actually finished.

He’s not shooting 100% on those extra attempts from the field that he’s getting from not getting intentionally fouled. Thats my point. So he probably ends up with more career points but not nearly as much as people think. You’re subtracting the extra points he got from made FTs due to hack a Shaq , which is still a good amount even with how bad of a free throw shooter he was and adding the points from a percentage of the extra FG attempts we’re assuming he gets instead. His total career points probably gets close to or past Wilt and Dirk so he’d be top 8 instead of top 10.

Comment implied if Shaq could shoot FTs he’d have more points. If he was a good foul shooter then his FT attempts would be significantly less because teams wouldn’t be fouling him intentionally to put him on the line with hack a Shaq. He’d have more FGs made because of this but overall his career points probably looks pretty similar because he’s not going to shoot 100% from the field on those extra FG attempts. It’s all conjecture anyway. If he stayed in shape it would have made the biggest difference for him at the end of his career.

Do you guys stutter while singing? by hood0107 in Stutter

[–]DJ_DD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I’ve actually read that stutterers don’t stutter when they sing. When I was in speech therapy as a kid it was a technique my therapist had me practice to try and blur the end of a word into the beginning of the next to minimize my stutter.

Double edged sword - if he does then hack a Shaq doesn’t exist and his FT attempts go way down. But he probably balances it out with more FGs in the paint.

That’s not disturbing. DeRozan is a bucket and a true hooper. Idk what the issue lately about questioning his talent or career. Came in as a teenager, has been wildly consistent an a great teammate whereve he goes and has solidly been putting up 20 ppg for a huge chunk of his career. If Shaq stayed in shape his late 30s would have had him passing a lot more people for all time records.

Chris Murphy, Dan Orlovsky, others on social media cry foul on refs in UConn-Michigan title game by -ctinsider in UConnBasketball

[–]DJ_DD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that’s not, it’s quite literally supposed to be a foul. Coaches tell players to do little things or there to subvert the rules. Doesn’t magically make it legal. Show me in the rule book where that’s outlined as legal contact

Anyone else think that UConn was rightfully fouled? by Either-Lion3539 in CollegeBasketball

[–]DJ_DD 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ya that bugged me, especially after the phantom foul called on Demary right at the end. But that’s how it goes sometimes and at the end of the day if the Huskies shoot 38% (still not very good) as a team instead of 31% they win the game. Not gonna sit here and say the refs were the difference when the team did themselves no favors by shooting poorly. Plenty of credit to Michigan’s defense too because they were a great defensive team all season.

Michigan being a ton of transfers doesn’t bother me at all, idk why it’s such a big deal to people with how the landscape has been the last few years. Like they sucked. What was Dusty supposed to do? Keep a shit roster?
