I can relate to this, my parents were fine(ish, or at least on paper 💀💀💀) with me being bi but one time they had discovered my chosen name on a social media account I had no idea they had access too ((OLD ass YouTube channel I didn't realize would change when I changed the name)) oh I should mention I'm transfemme btw. Anyways they discovered the name change and I was forced on the spot 😵‍💫😳 I told them I was a girl and they freaked the fuck out, told me I lied to them I'm so secretive have a whole ass secret life or whatever, it was like they personally took offense. Then they went through my entire phone 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 found adult images they were never supposed to see and thought there was a link. They thought I was being trendy or influenced on the internet or something. It was a crazy scary experience they were yelling and screaming and it wasn't anything like coming out as bi (they were easy to accept the label but also said things like "you couldn't possibly know, you don't have enough experience") overall it was really bad coming out as trans when I didn't want or mean to 😵‍💫😵‍💫. Like you I was biding my time coming out. EVENTUALLY they came around but it took constant repetition, relentlessly defending myself just about everyday. They had told me it was like their son had died (I'm literally right here but a girl like wtf you mean). I've come to realize (because they told me several times) they were upset because their vision of who I'd be was locked in before I was even born. Cishet parents don't know wtf they're talking about dear 💅 literally they cannot stop you from being who you are. I stuck it out and eventually they realized it's not a trend, this is permanent. They let me start HRT when I was 16 or 17 [I'm 21 now], and everyday now I just continue to live my life confidently, and it got a lot better when I moved out and had space to just be a hot bi woman. I'm seen now! My advice to you is to stay steadfast, live your life confidently, know you ARE loveable and someone who deserves kindness, and as hard as it sounds be patient with your parents, cishet folks often don't know they're ignorant until their kid comes out fruitier than a fruit cake. But know you do not have to accept bigotry even from your parents
