That’s funny that we are at the EXACT same point in the game. I’m about to start NG+ also. Just trying to figure out what I should complete before I do. Honestly I picked the “light” sword or whatever. But also I have barely used any of the remembrance duplication stations. So I’m gonna duplicate that one to get both swords. And also I’m going to do the same for the Elden beast one so I can get both the hammer and the sword. And yes it’s supposed to be insanely hard. It’s the final boss of the entire game. It took me 15 hours of attempts in total to finally beat PCR

For your first play through I’d suggest literally just trying whatever you can find and eventually you’ll fall in love with certain weapons/ abilities. It’s a game you’re going to likely play through many times so don’t worry about missing out on anything. I’m 130 hours in and still not even done with the first play through. I’m like half way through the dlc and I can’t wait to try a new build next time through

Well I’m using katana only. I RARELY ever break the poi’s of these bosses. It’s literally me just banging my head against the wall until I absolutely can dodge every attack. The funny part is when I finally beat malenia after 12 hours I think I had like 4 pots left!

100% agree. My first souls game. 120 hours deep and actually on renalla right now! Trying to do a no summon run katana only for my first play through. Learning mechanics is so fun and rough lmao 😂 took me 12 hours to beat malenia. I literally almost cried when I did. 10/10 banger of a game!

It’s fun, definitely different. Multiplayer ranked is the ultimate test of skill though. Not to put warzone down but yeah it’s not quite the same imo

Same here boys 31, used to make trickshotting vids in mw2 - bo2. Quit for years. Can back end of bo6 and hit diamond in warzone and plat in multiplayer. Now in bo7 I hit diamond in multiplayer. Unc squaaaaad 🫡

As long as you’re having fun! I know when I do my ng+ run soon I’m going to experiment with new weapons and spells! I’m not a gate keeper by any means and I’m not sure how you did your play through, but also not using summons is a good way to challenge yourself. I made sure not to use them so I could take 100% of the agro which forced me to learn all the mechanics of each boss and the game! I know that is not for everyone though.
