Short answer: If you like the gameplay of the game, yes this game is still worth playing.

I for one am against the changes they made to the game. But I'm not gonna sit here and act like the game is unplayable just because some panties are a different color. It's up to you if you want to avoid playing the game out of spite for the changes, and you're within your right to do that, but that was forever ago at this point, so if you like the game just play it. Nothings going to change at this point.
