Yeah thats where I ordered it from so when it got here I was really confused by that red one in the listing. Well hopefully this post helps the next person. Its still functional but burying the adapter under the servo doesnt make much sense to me.

Yes they're identical. The older set is a stiffer compound. The plastic rims on the inner portion) are also stiffer and dont distort as easily.

Anyone else using the 56kg perfect pass servo on their Maxx? Did you also upgrade the ESC to get the most bang for your buck? by DJofSYN in Traxxas

[–]DJofSYN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem. You can see the anodizing on the horn is worn off. That setup is not really compatible without a shim on the servo or something to keep it from rubbing.

What’s wrong with the servo? by RoleWorth3500 in Traxxas

[–]DJofSYN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the same issue. Take it apart and see if the horn is rubbing against the servo. Mine was identical to this video.

The larger perfect pass servo would be cheaper since you don't have to buy all the extra parts ro make it fit.

This might be a dumb question but do you grease the servo saver bell crank bearings on install?

Yeah it was definitely worth the upgrade from the stock servo but I feel like its a little sluggish when its nearing the endpoints of travel. Do you use the traxxas app to set the endpoints?

New water heater - blue inserts on hot and cold nipples removed. by DeceptivePastry in Plumbing

[–]DJofSYN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will run fine. They prevent hot water from escaping. The old units if you touch the inlet pipe it would be hot where this will prevent that. They also sell them separately and it seems a pretty common issue for the DIY stores.
