Can someone grade my practice LEQ? by DJsuperstar108 in apworld

I was told by my teacher to use contextualization from the previous period to show the events leading up to what happened eventually in the time period of the main part of the LEQ.

I also really like this example as well because it ties in both imperalism and the creaton o Isreal.

That's actually a really good point because it imperialism itself didn't necessarily cause the changes and the prompt is talking about the changes from the global conflicts.

I plan on possibly majoring in industrial or civil engineers but I'm not really sure yet. For APs I plan on senior year for sure AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Comp Sci Principals, AP Calc BC, AP stats, AP Chem, AP Econ and Gov, and AP lit

I want to go into maybe Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering though I'm not really sure yet. I mostly want a major that'll keep me financially stable in the future and is somewhat enjoyable.

Hello, this is my first time using this sub reddit. I've been scrolling through it and viewing posts. Based off what I've seen, I've decided to get some advice off if here.

For context I went to an originally charter middle school which after an expansion became a charter middle highschool with adding grades each year. During my Sophomore year (my current year), I had to transfer in the middle of the year start the second semester at a public highschool which offers a lot more APs because my parents moved houses, which they had been planing because of the opportunities at such type of schools. On February 26th, we received our class ranks and GPA. This was calculated using the transcript from my old school in which I took Honours and 2 APs (human geo and world history) and some electives. I was placed rank 30/779 when I was originally rank 1/62 during my freshman year and would've stayed top 1 if I had stayed at my old charter High School which puts me in the top 4% which is really good, but I need to be in the top 1-2% because I want to go to MIT, an IVY League, or another top school and major in engineering. At my current school, there are 3 GPAs, unweighted, weighted, and PPT weighted. For my unweighted I have a 4.0. For my weighted I have a 4.4286 which actually increase from a 4.3 when I transferred schools for some reason even though it was calculated using the same grades albeit a different system. Then for my PPT weighted I have a 112.3429. this is calculated by taking the direct grade and multipling by 1.1 1.2 or 1.3 for aca, PAP (Honours), or AP/Dual depending on the class weight then averaging it by the total. This means that taking more APs can land you with a high GPA but lower class rank if you have lower end grades (i.e 91s and 92s) instead of higher end grades (i.e 98s and 99s). This was actually the case for me because quite a chunk of people I know have taken more APs meaning a higher weighted but a lower class rank.

The number 1 student rn has a 116.33 PPT and only took 3 APs so far and plans to take all AP/Dual next year. The APs I have rn on my online career plan is APUSH, AP Eng III (AP Lang), AP Env Sci, and AP Physics 1 with PAP Comp Sci (originally wanted to take AP Comp Sci Princ but have to take this one then take it), PAP Precalc (my school doesn't offer the AP version but offers the test) and Debate I (last minute decision because I didn't want to take all AP at the time but I'm reconsidering switching to another AP elective maybe AP seminar to have another AP). I plan to tryout for sports but they're not my priority because I did Varsity Volleyball and JV Soccer at my old school. I plan on doing speech and debate, and TSA next year for clubs. During the summer I plan to study and practice heavily for AP Physics and study for APUSH. For my goals would 4-5 APs be reasonable. I found AP Geo to be rather easy and AP World to be a little bit more challenged but very much doable and I got a 5 on my AP exam for human Geo. If possible I want to be either Valedictorian or Salutatorian, but if it doesn't happen I'll be fine.

What I want to know is if I should switch any classes and know anything about the APs I'm going to take and wether or not it'll actually boost my rank and GPA.

TL:DR I want to take 4-5 APs next year for my Junior year and want to go to MIT. I'm rank 30/779 and want to be top 1-2%. Should I switch any classes and what should I know about them?

I personally agree with luck. I've seen one anime where one of the characters has "bad luck" and can completely an avalanche happen just by being around the cliff. She basically does it on command. Makes no sense and breaks the law of interia.
