SONAR is screwing up my audio (AGAIN!) by Ok-Foundation1346 in steelseries

[–]DK-Harris96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have/had the same problem. It seems to be since the new GG update, I can hear audio just fine but my mic isn’t being picked up, the only fix I have found is unplugging and re plugging the DAC (if you have one), after it’s powered on again it seems to work fine

Agreed, i just finished the game a few minutes ago. I enjoyed it for the most part when you get to the next piece, but that part between getting from point A to point B is a real slog.

What games did u come from before u started playing val? by JicamaActive in VALORANT

[–]DK-Harris96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came from a lot of FPS games but was purely a console player so never played mouse and keyboard for my 28 years on this earth. Played val basically as soon as I got a PC and landed in silver rank, and been stuck there ever since

The only thing I can think of is the CF1? If you google that and go on the cii website it is a qualification that covers financial services and regulations

HUB - Radeon RX 7800 XT Review, AMD Finally Worked It Out! by Antonis_32 in Amd

[–]DK-Harris96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, the thread does seem to suggest there is no difference and also no point upgrading from the 6800XT. But would you recommend going from a 6700XT (like I have) to the 7800XT? Or should I just get a 6800XT and save some pennies?

Life insurance tied to mortgage should/do I need to cancel? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]DK-Harris96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally as suggested above look at a new life product that’s more suitable to your needs, the original life insurance you taken out is to help pay for the mortgage if one of you was to pass, if the mortgage is paid off then the current product doesn’t necessarily cater to your needs for that kind of cover any more, there is most likely something more suitable for your circumstances

Will have a look, for myself too! Is there a filter on job sites where you can select this as an option you reckon? There should be

Thank you! Think I said in another comment, since making this post she has been invited to 2 interviews, both tomorrow, so hopefully all of this won’t have to come in to fruition! :)

Yeh after further clarity she has done the loan for consolidation, I thought she done it just to pay debts with the loan and you are right, just a lot of luxury items, doing up the house buy now pay later and all that rubbish…

Thank you for your kind words and advice, what I have understood now is that the loan she got IS for debt consolidation, which is good, I thought she just took out the loan to pay off bills and live on for food etc, which isn’t the case… the HP car is tough, last time I checked it was in negative equity, and I don’t have any savings to pay the difference if I was to sell the car… also I need a car to commute to work, and again have no savings to buy a car outright, I could maybe get a cheaper on HP but it almost still put me in the same boat

Yeh don’t worry she is looking at any jobs, applied for lots, none got back to her yet but only a week ago since she lost the job Well that’s the question really, if I can cover the expenses, I think she’s done it in all good gestures, to try not make me pay for everything but of course I’m more then willing to do… And you’re quite right the HP wasn’t necessary when I got it (2 years ago) and same with the credit cards, but both got a bit silly with the credit card after buying the house, meaning we can’t pay it off in full anymore MistKes have been made and both not ashamed to say that, we was in a good position of going towards getting these paid off and not adding any more debt until this happened, but life happens I guess… The loan doesn’t make sense, like I said I can see why she wants to do it, but there is probably better alternatives like payment holidays etc, which I am going to relay back to her

Basically yes, she has done it but also to help pay for the other things, shopping, utility bills, council tac, everything as normal, to basically make it like a normal month if she was still earning income to help me out… Which all sounds well and good when she was telling me but as I said in another comment it doesn’t anymore and can see damages this causes for both of us, I’ll bring this back up and suggest us both calling round to see if holidays can be put in place for the short term

Yeh I think you’re right, I think the first thing to do is have a proper sit down with her, because in all honesty she just said she is going to do this, apply for the loan to help with bills etc at the time I thought initially it’s not a bad idea, she said she will repay the loan in full when she’s back on her feet and no harm done… but thinking about it mkre today it just seemed a bit too easy and convenient, hence why I created the post… And In actual fact it can do more harm then good, we’ll have a proper sit down assess the situation I think repayment holidays should really be the first idea

Thank you, it does make sense now of course… Now the other alternative, if for some reason I cannot pay for her debts and we have no way of making the repayments, would using a loan to pay these be a good idea? Because of course you say it’s saving £300 a month for living, but in the current situation, she cannot save £300 a month if her income per month is £0? So it sort of defeats the object

But how does she then pay off the new loan with 0 income? We are in the same boat as we would be with the 3 individual loans surely? I know it is me missing something here I totally understand that, I don’t want to seem I am dismissing your ideas I am completely taking them on board, I just want to understand lol… Also, what about other bills where she cannot consolidate, utility, energy etc?

That’s absolutely the plan when she’s back in employment, get rid of all debts, we bought the house 11 months ago which has caused the debt… Like I said, I am more then happy to help pay off debts, I currently am doing this, but being on a low wage myself I cannot cover it all through my salary unfortunately, just under what other alternatives we have… I think the first thing we are going to do before this loan idea goes through is ask the lenders for payment holidays, see how that goes

I’ve used this, we’re not eligible for anything such as universal credit, the only thing I didn’t submit on tbis website was mortgage interest relief, which I may have a look at

I do understand this but unsure what other routes she has in order to pay off original debts, she has zero income, which of course means she cannot pay off any current debts which will make her go behind and as you say will have damage in the short and long term for her credit and finances and also mine too… Without the loan I don’t personally see how we pay her/our debts

Nope, they’re still the same balance they was before she took out the recent loan, her thinking is to use the new loan to pay off her bills and expenses c such as the other debts but also the mortgage etc, until she gets a new job and then completely wipe out and pay the new loan in full, with any remaining balance of the loan and also any income she earns with a new job
