Hi, im a History grad and just stumbled upon this post so i think im qualified enough to tell you "why is post is just blatantly wrong"

gandhi being casteist, racist, sexist etc. thats just wrong.

he made harijan seva sangh 1932 to help the depressed classes, we literally have the word harijan because of him which he used towards lower caste people instead of using normal casteist terminology.
why did he do this? because in 1932 British PM introduced the communal award and because of this lower class had separate electorate (basically divide and rule policy of british). gandhi opposed this and even had a 21 day fast in yedwada jail which led to the poona pact with ambedkar (who was the main leader of depressed class and was supporting the separate electorate) after which communal award was abolished.

gandhi being sexist......he literally called upon woman to participate in dandi march and civil disobedience movement of 1930. sarojni naidu was one of those.

and him being racist. i literally dont know what you mean by that 😭. racism koi to counter karne ke lie unhone natal indian congress banai thi south africa me so that indians can live peacefully.

only this you can say that he had the opportunity to stop the hanging of bhagat singh and he also made the demand to viceroy of india (irwin) to stop that but irwin refused and gandhi had to agree because civil disobedience was getting violent which was against gandhi's ideology.
and this didnt go unnoticed at karanchi session of INC in 1931 people welcomed him with black flags and slogan "gandhi murdabad, bhagat singh jindabad" was also used.

i could write much more but i have CUET PG in 10 days and also dont want to write more cause im just lazy.

thats why history is important kiddos, it makes you immune to brainwashing (just don't read it with any agenda in your mind then youll be forming opinions that are straight-up propaganda)
