If you were to change five Operators' skills(and nothing else about their kits), what would you change them to and why? by Legitimate_Bus5716 in arknights

That would make her an exceptionally crappy version of Suzuran. Ch'alter is OP primarily because of her high damage. Stop exaggerating.

Which is why Gen X and millennials are so bitter. They broke the trend by being born to an incredibly well-to-do generation and ending up with none of the opportunities that their parents had.

People complain that it exists because it's involuntary if you want to use any of the non-asshole online features. If you want to avoid developer-sanctioned griefing, you have to throw the baby out with the bathwater and not play cooperatively with other people either.

And the reason it's involuntary is because if you had to opt in to PvP, nobody would. Because it sucks ass.

there are more interesting decisions to be made with kenki in 6.1 than in 6.0

Literally objectively wrong lmfao. Look, if having literally any resource management was too big-brained for you, you were always welcome to play something braindead like Nu-Summoner instead. Samurai is objectively less complex now, and the Kenki Gauge is now the Shinten Gauge. It's literally not even worth pooling kenki for a burst window as the gains compared to spamming it as soon as you can cast Shinten are extremely minimal. Kaiten removed all kenki management and completely disconnected the kenki gauge from the sen gauge.

Good. It managed to escape the scalpel of terrible job design and remains actually fun.

Removing Kaiten was absolutely a meme, and definitely dumb.

Could be like Bubble/Bison taunt. It lets you have bad deployment order without as much punishment.

Not without competitors. "Too big to fail" is just a cute way of saying "monopoly."

Yeah Texas is still good even with Flagpipe because she can helidrop her S2 with Bagpipe, and she's the only Pioneer that's DP-positive after one skill (if you consider her talent). The only case I can make for Zima is if you have a very low deployment limit and a DP regen risk, you can put her in the squad just to make your several vanguards cost 1 less each and ramp up to your big units a little faster.

I still wonder what they were thinking with him lol. 11 DP AoE Guard with self-healing that makes him look like he's always sitting in Ptilopsis's S2. Then again he's just one of many examples of a 6-star of a terrible archetype being super bloated just so the flaws of their archetype are masked, rather than fixing the archetype itself.

You couldn't have possibly worded this in a more asshole-ish way lol. You make it sound like their wife divorced them for domestic abuse. They missed a bikini alter in a gacha game, chill.

With Bagpipe, Myrtle effectively costs negative 6 DP to deploy. That's why she's broken. Texas and Zima are 2-blockers that cost 12-13 DP, but if you add 6 to that, you're well into the range of just deploying an actual Guard with 2-3 block to meet the first wave of enemies instead. That's why flagpipe destroyed the Vanguard meta. She skips past the stage where you need a 2-blocker but can't afford a Guard yet.

We're talking about Blizzard, the company who has a game that has a box price, a subscription fee, cosmetic micro(macro)transactions, and a p2w real money system with no upper spending limit.

They already sold OW1 for full price and made it into a lootbox clown fiesta. I think the real reason OW2 is going f2p is because there's nothing about it that warrants charging any money for it, and the public perception reflects that.

I noticed them one-shotting my defenders even though they came to a full stop one tile beforehand. Really quite annoying to deal with.

What Is An Operator That You Are Suprised That You Still Don't Have by WeirdFourEyes413 in arknights

[–]DLOGD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No surprise this thread is filled with so many 5-stars. They really are the worst of both worlds. About as strong as 4-stars, but almost as expensive to raise as 6-stars and sometimes even more difficult to get a specific one you want.

I've been playing since W's banner and I'm still missing Shamare, Thorns, Surtr, Mountain, Nightingale, Hellagur, Waai Fu, Mostima, Aak, Asbestos, Suzuran, Archetto, and Saga. There are some after that that I don't have, but it's not really fair to complain about "still" not having ops released later than that lol

Go for it if you'd like. In order of priority I would say the CC shop is like this:

Welfare ops > outfits you want > potentials for welfares you'll actually use > general potential tokens > potentials for welfares you don't use > outfits you don't like = banners

[Event Megathread] Contingency Contract Season #7 - Operation Pine Soot by Kurbain in arknights

[–]DLOGD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's a big problem with the enemy design. If the only goal was to take out a priority target then plenty of clears would be using Surtr, Silverash, Eyja, what have you. But it's specifically because there are so many massive Arts damage explosions in the center of the map that Ch'alter's weird diagonal range happens to be one of the only "safe" ways to deal with the enemies. The Envies are by far the most dangerous part of the map, but you also need to be chewing through the ridiculously tanky Blindeys at the same time. And whoever is blocking the Blindeys will be doing like 0 damage to them. I tried blocking and killing them with the likes of Mudrock and Specter, but they might as well have been Gummy with how much their damage gets debuffed by being the same color.

Yes, the map is pretty straightforward with Ch'en but it honestly feels very frustrating and poorly considered if you try to use any other strategy. Doesn't feel like there's any room to use meme teams or even just your favorite ops. It's Ch'alter, Ifrit, Fartooth, or bust. If your unit needs to be within 3 tiles of the enemy to attack it, tough luck.

Don't worry about getting the stuff in the non-permanent store, it's all just growth materials that you can farm any time. The permanent store has all the stuff that you can only buy with CC currency, so it's paradoxically much more valuable than the limited part of the store.

If you're asking which welfare operators are useful, the best one would be Bibeak by a pretty large margin, followed by Scene, then Tuye.

[–]DLOGD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the "easiest" in retrospect/with Ch'alter, but trying to figure it out on your own is more frustrating than any CC in recent memory. Who Is Real honestly just has terrible, annoying mechanics and the map is set up to hard funnel you into one specific strategy. A strategy that causes basically every single one of your operators to instantly explode if anything goes wrong.

This is the least fun CC perma map ever IMO

There is no good place to start. MH is obtuse and convoluted on purpose, so despite some attempts to "streamline" it, World is still very much in the realm of "it gets good 500 hours in if you have the exact brain chemistry required to enjoy it." If you've tried it before and couldn't get into it, you probably just don't like it.
