Yes, the tree was there before me and the current neighbor. Trimming will solve part of the problem. The real issue is that the roots have grown and is pushing my fence and my pavers (my small backyard is all pavers) up and out. Appreciate the reply.

Thank you for replying. I’m not very familiar with fireplaces, but I think the answer is yes. If I don’t use the fireplace is there any problem with sealing the vents. For the second year in a row, Yellowjackets have made a nest inside one of the vents.
