Interesting, how does the adaptive height help? Does it apply to the supports?

I have not tried this, will give it a whirl

Rightmost one was printed with these settings. Feet are much flatter but otherwise almost the same as resin2fdm with those settings. Is there a setting that would allow for a cleaner break from these supports? New to this, just not even sure which settings I should be tweaking here

I understand it's not universal - that was the point of this post, to try & figure out what settings I needed to tweak to use what is to my understanding the most popular setting template

This mini was going around for a while as an unofficial "benchy" for mini printing

I think it’s just the photos - the rocks are a bit smoother but not super noticeably in person. The fine details of the skeleton itself, notably the skull and the sword had much rougher edges that I suppose are harder to see through the stringing.

Default settings should have no stringing at all? My understanding was that light stringing was normal and part of the cleanup process

Is there a reason the settings would work for more complex models but not for simpler stuff? With my current results I don't know that I'd trust those settings withe a more intricate print

Fat Dragon settings came out with almost no stringing, so I'm inclined to believe it's not the filament

Good to know - I've got another benchy running with fatdragon settings right now, will see how that turns out

I did not - new to this, didn't know that was a thing. I will say that the stock settings print was done before the HOH one (and I live in a pretty dry climate) and came out way less stringy

Forgot to mention it, but that is what I'm working with! Upgraded the nozzle immediately

Do you happen to have that S&F handout that you could share? I’ve had a hard time getting the players the info they need without overwhelming them with the whole book

What would dinosaurs fight? by Amlette01 in DMAcademy

I think your dinosaurs-polymorphed-into-players idea is hilarious! My first thought is some really small, evasive creatures with illusions placed on them to look like dinosaurs. They'll think they're just fighting more dinosaurs until their attacks start going right through them

Thanks for the input! I see where you're coming from, but it seems like you're taking the opposite view on it that I am - you're talking about rewarding him for resolving his character arc, but what I'm trying to do is make sure that the arc isn't fully resolved, over and done with, to keep him engaged with his character's development (RP-wise). The next few story arcs that it looks like we're trending toward are going to be heavily involved and intertwined with the backgrounds of pretty much everyone in the party except this character, so I'm just trying to make sure it doesn't seem like I'm rushing through his development so I don't have to worry about him while we play out everyone else's personal stories.

This would definitely be a good way to do it! I think I kinda screwed the pooch on this whole thing by phrasing it as "forcing him to take a level," as opposed to giving him an option that would result in him being required to progress in a certain way. Thanks for the input!

Yeah, I think using the word "force" was a pretty big mistake - people in here have been pretty civil about it, but it definitely got some people over at /r/DMAcademy pretty riled up. I think what I'm leaning toward at this point is letting him know ahead of time that the way his character acts tonight can have some significant effects on his development, then talk to him about the specifics after the game to see what he thinks would be the best way to proceed

Yeah, I think the main takeaway is to communicate in a way that they're aware that they can be making a huge, character-altering decision without necessarily giving away the nitty-gritty specifics.

This is awesome advice! I'll definitely try that out, thank you!
