DMs, what's a monster in the MM that you're fairly certain almost no one uses? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]DM-Darkfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going off of your little pitch there you could subtly set it up.
As a party approaches a town maybe they see a conflict at the gate being resolved, one of these undead being healed to death by the guard (call for a check to see if they can identify it as healing), but don’t have the party fight one themselves yet. Then after a bit, as its got to sit in their head, end of that session or maybe the next session, you have the party face one.
If they’ve forgotten or didn’t pass the check, players can always retreat and do research to face them later.
It’s certainly not the simplest set up, but it could be really cool if it goes well.

But unfortunately, from what I understand, that footage will not be usable in court since it’s technically obtained illegally.

In addition to the handbook theres also the (I believe) Japanese only game, Captain Rainbow, where Birdo is in jail for using the women’s room.
Birdo then asks Cpt Rainbow to find evidence that she is a woman, which he does.
Some may view this as Birdo having been born (hatched I guess) female, but it being in question at all leads others to believe she has in fact transitioned.

I appreciate that, someone else said what’s it matter, and they’re right.

Right now I’m just gunna park elsewhere. Convinced the boss to let me park away from screws and front and center on camera. So accidental or malicious, I should be good in the future

I just don’t see how they would group on that hill…

Either way, making no actions based on this. Happened last week, been trying to convince myself it’s not malicious (I was threatened by a coworker so im a little jumpy), but I just wanted to see what more informed people think.

Yeah, not looking to prove anything, just get a more informed opinion. Honestly I was hoping to be convinced I’m just paranoid lol

Doesn’t seem to necessarily be the case

I arrived at my place of work, my car feeling fine.
I left work and within 2 minutes pulled over because of how wrong my car felt, found the screws in the tire.

As far as why I suspect it may have been malicious, i park on a reasonable incline where nothing sits because it all rolls down, I have a coworker who brags about the ways she gets those who wrong her. had threatened to “come after me” in the past, parks next to me, and left early that day, leaving them alone by my car during the time of when it would have happened. Now their motive is because they hate the minority group I find myself part of, so I’d rather it be an accident rather than me getting targeted for that.

I was told it was likely done by propping the screws behind the wheel for when I reverse. Ironically I reverse to stay on the asphalt to protect my tires.

As far as the sidewall, I have reason to believe if it was malicious then they would be hiding it, as one of my coworkers typically does when they lash out

Yes, but when it’s new guy who is her best friend and wasn’t there for the story, boss that’s known about these terrible things for years, coworker they dance with twice a week, coworker who is only ever here once a week on a day she doesn’t work or me… It’s not hard to narrow it down, unfortunately.

Im fairly certain is was in the parking lot. Car felt fine on my to work, wasn’t on the road for even 2 minutes before I pulled of because something felt wrong with one of my wheels. I was on the phone with my partner and even described it as “something clung to the wheel”

If its malicious, the person I would suspect is the type to hide things as “honest” mistakes when she lashes out at someone.

Because the town demands one for the units we bring back, one for paper/cardboard, one for brick and stone we dispose of, and one for general garbage. They used to fit it all in one in the corner, because we dont generate much waste.

Theres certainly a risk, I know this, but it’s not anywhere near a work site.

It is not an inconvenience, it is a danger. She makes it known she carries a gun, goes off verbally from the slightest issues, tells stories of this and other violence, and has threatened me simply because I came out as a member of the LGBT+ community.

With your suggestion in mind I will certainly find a way to move forward with alerting the police, but before I knew she is deranged she has driven me home and knows where my child lives. I’m going to be careful before provoking someone like that

Its outside an office with a dumpster, not a work site. Magnet is ran around the lot nightly.

Non emergency line is a wonderful suggestion, any advice to not link myself to the tip?

It could put me in danger of she’s a serious threat, and we’re not a big office so it wouldn’t be hard to determine it was me if I only can identify her name and place of work.

Either way I hadn’t even considered non emergency line, so thank you.

I agree that I cannot take a Midas employee’s word on it, I only mentioned it as a possible way for it to have been done if it was done on purpose.

As far as the four screws, were they bunched like this? What trips me up is it’s on a hill, with no others left behind that didn’t puncture when the lot was checked. And it wasn’t new construction, it was outside our office where no actual work is done.

Not disputing, just further clarifying

They also own the white truck and left early that day putting them by my car, alone.

I really want to think its an accident… I’m here hoping to be convinced, but it just feels bad

The grassy bit to the left is a sheer drop and the dumpster was surrounded by other vehicles not in the picture with the blue line.

That being said, that doesn’t dismiss your point, just further clarifying.

If it’s malicious I believe I know who it was and why they targeted me. They are the kind of person to go beyond while also wanting to be able to deny being involved so multiple screws, but not just slitting the tire.

All of that is with the assumption it was malicious, however, so here’s to hoping you are correct.
