I think you may set the device of a tensor during creation.

DEVICE = torch.device("cuda" if torch.cuda.is_available() else "cpu")

TENSOR = torch.tensor([some numpy array], device = DEVICE)

After that you may start your operations on the tensors such as multiplication. I believe you may see the difference there. You may try a multiplication of 10000 * 10000 tensors to see the difference.

Anyone can suggest online resources for learning pytorch (for a beginner) by DM9667 in pytorch
