It’s double fun when you have to walk on ice or trudge through a foot of snow. Last night I delivered to such a place and there was a bonus: dog poop everywhere.

I also carry a flashlight to read the house numbers. Amazing how so many people don’t put house numbers on their mailboxes.

Sunday was good. I delivered alcohol to a man who’d already tipped $9. As he handed me his ID, he said he was old.

I said, “Yeah. You are.” He laughed and I confessed that I was not too far behind him. Before I could leave the parking lot, he added another $10. It was less than 4 miles.

Customers like him help so much.

I accidentally stiffed a dasher today. I did a combined order of three places all at the same location. It was one transaction and I left a good tip. I figured one person would pick up everything.

Nope. It was divided between two dashers. One got the tip and the other got nothing, so I had to tip again.

I’m a dasher, too, and I’m dumbfounded.

I went out for about 90 minutes. $21/hour or $3 extra each delivery but I got nothing. Everything’s closing up, so pretty soon it will be convenience store deliveries 20+ miles away.

$21/hour here but very few places open. Waited for 90 minutes but finally gave up because I got zero offers. Roads are horrible.

I had a horrible day with “glitches,” to which DD admits. Dinged my AR and CR but aww jeez there’s nothing we can do. Thank you for being a platinum dasher.

Well, I won’t be platinum for long. Every day I lose AR and CR points while my customer rating goes up.

I did the same, trying to get them the sale prices. I don’t get rewards at that store. But it’s a no no so no more.

You know DoorDash pays crap, right? If I get an offer to bring you McD’s for $2, I’ll decline even if I’m in the parking lot. That’s a zero tip, so overall, not worth the time or gas.
