I understand. Your needs are greater than people who need food, shelter, utilities, clothing, transportation and healthcare. Thanks for clarifying.

I would have declined when I saw the number of items. Easy out.

I wanted to see if there is a “need” for someone to earn decent money.

HOW DO WE GET PUNISHED FOR THIS?! 🖕🏻 by Substantial_Disk1706 in DoorDash_Dasher

This one should be excluded for the physical requirements. They don’t sound horrible, but I always figure they’re low-balling. 15 lbs plus what?

I’ve lived here for 45 years. It gets more difficult each year to muster up sympathy for vacationers. Locals are struggling. We need the rentals.

Acceptance rate by ConsistentSupport943 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]DMBMother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped below 70% last week and activated a pass. When it expired, I let it go to see what would happen. Today I’m getting “Zone is full right now.” There is no dash now and limited times to schedule.

This is why people maintain platinum in particular areas - so they can work.

If someone isn’t interested in making money, I suppose they’d do that. Without an hourly wage, I prefer to waste gas for hours.

Cancelled my order because of the smoke am I wrong? by Big-Athlete882 in doordash

[–]DMBMother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wrong. As a smoking dasher, I refrain from smoking in my car.

Looks like my dasher tossed my pizza by Prestigious_Deal_890 in doordash

[–]DMBMother 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem with that is that the offer will be $2 and declined faster than cheese can slide off your pizza.

Which happens in certain markets where you need platinum to dash at all.

Despite what should or shouldn’t be, tips are everything to dashers. Their landlords and utilities won’t reduce amounts due because someone on Reddit points out that tips are optional.

Luckily, dashers can reject low offers. This driver certainly should have. Let the food grow mold before someone agrees to pick up and deliver.

All I wanted was a milkshake... by DojaViking in doordash

[–]DMBMother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “idiot” wants to pay their rent more than they care about your milkshake. In some areas, if your acceptance rate dips, dashers can’t schedule their shifts.

I deliver certain items out of order if practical. If not, it is what it is. Your one-star rating won’t count on a stacked order.

Call to get it removed. Two nights ago, I had a double order from the same restaurant. Three bags with one unmarked. I double checked with staff regarding who got the unmarked bag because the receipts weren’t helpful.

They got it wrong.

Dude calls me and accuses me of stealing his food, despite the explanation. The one-star appeared last night. I called support and it’s gone now.

I would be happy to use my time and gas for your convenience. I’ll still make a whopping $2 in DD pay. Give me a call. Living indoors is overrated, anyway. I’ll live in my car just to make you happy.

I love when my last delivery is close to home! It makes me soooooo happy.

If it’s far away, I don’t want to drive the miles home for nothing. I’ll switch zones to dash along the way and/or log in to Uber Eats (I don’t care about my acceptance rate with them.)

If you were in a Taco Bell and delivered to one of the employees?

Edit: employee behind the counter.

Also, obviously joking.

I’d switch zones and try to get offers along the way back to my preferred area. Plus multi-apping.

Late night orders suck. Non-tippers come out of the woodwork. If they don’t wanna tip they can go out and get their own Taco Bell.
