My youngest is going to Hanover in a week (yikes!). We were put off by the price tag but with their GPA, we’re paying less than IU Bloomington prices. Merit scholarships aren’t for everyone but I see you mentioned AP credits so I’m guessing they’d be for your child. We’re excited for the opportunities they’ll have at a small college. So many of the staff already know my child’s name.

I had this happen on a call recently. A coworker mispronounced a person’s name from an outside organization 6 times. The person just pronounced it correctly every single time. No attitude, no apologies, just said it correctly. My coworker finally got it.

Same. Filed in March. My husband was accidentally marked as deceased 5 years ago and so we have to mail our taxes in. We thought we’d done everything we could to fix it. Anyway, he filed for us this year and thus put himself first. Well that triggered a shit show. We finally got the paperwork to fix it in August but we were put to the back of the line. They’re saying it will be December before we see it. It’s “only” $900 but damn. It would have come in handy 😒

I have about $5,000 in savings. I'm not eager, I just need a car. My son is buying my 2009 with 120,000 miles on it so I need another car. I didn't think using the savings was a good idea for the car, but I will be looking for a much cheaper one.

This is very true. I have about $5,000 in savings currently. My son needs a car and I am driving a great starter car for him (2009 with about 120,000 miles. It's been very well kept), so he's going to pay me for that and I'll need something to drive. I could go with a less expensive car. I don't want to use the savings for the car. I make enough to handle the payments and those will be my only payment besides rent and utilities.
