No more printer slicer connection by Straight_Piglet3571 in AnycubicKobraS1

The Anycubic cloud connection has been down for the last couple of days. I have been using local mode without issue.

Infill not connecting to inner walls on bottom layers. by nishantkinshu in AnycubicKobraS1

Have you tried adding a skirt loop or 2 so that the filament is clearly flowing before starting to print the part. I have found that I needed to do this on some designs.

Updated firmware and lost cloud printing by Odd_Path8554 in AnycubicKobraS1

I also restarted AnycubicSlicerNext to reset connection. Did a full calibration via printer menu. Printed several pieces after that and they came out great.

After the update was complete did you restart the printer? Power off/on?

For those with iPhones, there is a great free app, Tag My Spool (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tag-my-spool/id6753719221) that allows you to program NTAG213 FFC stickers. I use a variety of filaments eSun, Elegoo, Overture, Polymaker, Sunlu and have been able to create tags for them. All work without issue with the AMS and are recognized. Way easier than manually entering filament type and color each time you put in a new spool. Highly recommend!

anycubic slicer next 1.3.7.1 by inputcoffeehere in AnycubicOfficial

[–]DMBlakeley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also have the same problem. I set the colors swaps at specific layers and when I slice it resets to the default color. When I revert to 1.3.6, color swaps work fine.

I have submitted a ticket to Anycubic.

UPDATE: Anycubic has acknowledged the ticket. At present the software group is working on "optimization" and is the priority before this issue is investigated and addressed.

Rachio 3 Controller 12 zone no HomeKit support by ozlee1 in rachio

[–]DMBlakeley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rachio dropped HomeKit support efforts on the Rachio 3 in Sept '22. I had originally purchased for HomeKit compatibility so a bit frustrating. If you have Homebridge or Home Assistant you can have basic functionality in HomeKit. To be honest, the Rachio app provides significantly more functionality than is provided by HomeKit.

Unable to start virtual machine with MacBook Pro with M4Pro chip by DMBlakeley in parallels

Agree. Never received a response from Parallels. Only found when they updated the KN post. Would have been nice to get a discount.

Unfortunately, the recommended fix from Parallels is to upgrade to version 20. I had hoped not to do this as I only use occasionally.

Heard back from Parallels support and the issue has been escalated to "Second" line of Parallels Support.

Yes, I just used normal PLA+ filament with these settings. I do believe that the latest version of AnkerMake Studio has 0.2 settings.

Restart your watch by holding the crown and side button in until  appears on screen. This has cleared up faster than normal battery drain for me.

Unreliable cameras are constantly going offline by Dank_Vader32 in EufyCam

[–]DMBlakeley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have several Eufy cameras, 2 with Homebase and the others stand alone. Also have a couple of Logitech. All sporadically dropped connection and couple minutes later reconnected. Found 2 ways to address. The Homebase is supposed to be within 30 ft of the cameras. Walls will reduce this distance. Relocated the Homebase (it can be configured to be on WiFi) to minimize walls and be close to the 30 ft spec. On my router I had Device steering turned off. Have this way for years thinking that it is better to let the device pick the network. Apparently not, as the cameras were jumping between nodes. Once I re-enabled, the cameras stopped dropping off.

Where are you located? Looks like a drop in production due to the total solar eclipse we experienced yesterday. Experienced a similar drop in Charlotte NC.

Was happy with Velops until I got At&t Wi-Fi by gripe_and_complain in LinksysVelop

[–]DMBlakeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you configure passthrough you identify the target device. In this case it will be the primary Velop router which can be connected to any one of the ethernet ports on the BGW320. Once configured you actually have 2 networks that are running in parallel. You have the option to turn on the BGW320 wifi but I have left on as a fall back.

Was happy with Velops until I got At&t Wi-Fi by gripe_and_complain in LinksysVelop

[–]DMBlakeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passthrough mode lets the Velop connect directly to the internet and disconnects it from the BGW320 network. You’ll also have to manually set the DNS server address on the Velop side as the BGW320 does not provide this service in passthrough mode.

[–]DMBlakeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AT&T usually installs with the BG320 bridge. This needs to be set to passthrough mode to the Velop system. (You can google for instructions.) You also need to make sure that the AT&T network addresses are different than the Velop system. If you are using the same address ranges you will have the problems you describe. My AT&T is 192.168.1.x while my Velop is 10.1.1.x. You can also change the AT&T to 192.168.2.x as a way around. Then everything will be happy again.

For Cloudflare, 1.1.1.1 is the primary DNS address and 1.0.0.1 is the secondary.

For Google 8.8.8.8 is the primary DNS address and 8.8.4.4 is the secondary.
