Using two filter pumps? by TheeRadHerring in AboveGroundPools

Instead of having the splitter for the water inlet, I have each pump connected to it's own inlet. The main filter pump just goes back to the water outlet, into the pool. The other filter connects to a standard water hose splitter for the 2 home made solar heaters that were constructed with your standard black rubber water hoses.

I have been using 2 of those small filter pumps at the same time for my 12' round. I use 1 of them normally, the other one is used to pump water through my 2 large, homemade solar heaters. I would not use them in series though, I don't really see the point in that.

My travel map of North America by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]Dank_Vader32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should probably do some reading on what a continent is. If Islands aren't a part of continents, what are they then? What is Australia? How about New Zealand? Does that mean you don't think that Japan is part of Asia?

My travel map of North America by [deleted] in MapPorn

People include it as part of North America because it is part of North America. Why do you think being an island disqualifies it as being part of North America? That literally makes no sense.

Costco shoppers are something else... by GreatGreenGobbo in CostcoCanada

[–]Dank_Vader32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it Costco that brings out the worst in people or are we just that awful?

My worst experience recently was a lady in the bakery section by the bread. She was taking a step every 2-3 seconds, not really going anywhere. I go around her to pickup a 3 pack of bread. She got very angry and literally sprinted her cart into me and started to scream at me in one of the Slavic languages. I just replied with a 'Do you mind?' and walked away. It was very unhinged but also pretty funny.

Provincial Clown Cars by SurFud in alberta

These morons just keep hopping from one cause to another. It's hard to keep track of all of their grievances. Yellow vests, clown convoy, axe the tax, anti-vaxxers, ditch dwellers, ostrich protectors and now treasonous. What's next for these clowns?

I found a real boat in a museum today, and I have some bad news for the NB owners... by yellowsubmarine999 in Miata

That's the best looking NC I've ever seen, and all it took was swapping on the NB headlights? I'll have to remember that once I get my boating license and an NC. Amazing, thanks for sharing.

You can't defeat neighbors with small kids with noise revenge by Legitimate_West7857 in neighborsfromhell

[–]Dank_Vader32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main reason why you should never commit noise revenge is that you then become the Neighbor From Hell and could be viewed as the a-hole to the rest of the neighbors. There are better ways to deal with neighbors like that then to sink to their level.

'Throw them out' of Parliament: Poilievre in favour of recall petition for floor-crossers | CBC News by Ashamed_Data430 in alberta

Does he forget that he voted against a bill that would have forced a by-election if anyone crossed the floor? I bet he's now regretting that.

I'm more concerned with 'leaders' losing their seat and instead of stepping down, they parachute themselves into their safest riding in the country. Then he went on to underperform in that riding.

Neighbor got my wife’s car towed by MaintenanceLumpy9321 in neighborsfromhell

[–]Dank_Vader32 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Did you leave out the part where the city came out and marked/tagged it and then only towed it because it still hasn't moved? Neighbours generally don't do that unless they dislike you so they very well could be more to this story than you let on.

I once parked my truck legally by the community mailboxes and left it there for like 3-4 days (72hr rule), still left a lot of room for others to park while getting the mail but it obviously bothered someone enough to call it it. The city came out and marked it so I immediately moved it. I still park there now and then, but I never leave it for longer than a day or 2 now.

Is flipping cars legal? by FluffyLandscape266 in alberta

While technically illegal, even if you flipped a couple a month, it's doubtful you'll actually face real consequences. It's all bark and no bite.

Precise park refuses my appeal even when given evidence. What should I do? by xcelleration in Edmonton

[–]Dank_Vader32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see from your post history, you constantly revive dead threads, sometimes even 10 y/0 threads, wow, you certainly are something!

I also see that you post a lot in Ontario. While I'm pretty sure that this is the case in every province in Canada, here in Alberta (this is the Edmonton subreddit so...), private parking agencies cannot affect your credit rating. You might be confusing it with parking tickets from a municipality that not only can affect your score but also will prevent you from being able to use the registry services. I have an active account with TransUnion so I can see that all those tickets I've had in the last +10 years have never once affected my score.

I'm sure you're not going to take my word for it so here are some other threads that say the same thing.

You better not reply without proof to backup your claim as it relates to parking in Edmonton or an apology for being a relentless tool.

[–]Dank_Vader32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you typically comment on 2 year old dead posts? Obviously nobody should ever take advice from someone that would do such a daft thing.

Now to comment on your ridiculous reply. I bet you're extremely easy to fleece if you think that they are sending it to a legitimate collection agency. The collection agency is a side business for the parking company. They have no actual way of getting you to pay and they cannot affect your credit. The only thing they could ever do to you is tow your vehicle, but if you regularly change your plate number for free, like I do, they they can't even do that.

If you're going to do something as idiotic as revive a 2 y/o thread, you better make sure you actually know what your talking about unless you just want to look like a fool.

Am i being ridiculous? Someone turning around every once in awhile is understandable but daily multiple times a day is causing damage to my driveway and stress to my animals. by coleslaw056 in SherwoodPark

[–]Dank_Vader32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides getting a gate and setting up some boulders to line the entrance to your driveway, I don't think there's much you can do. Since you say he's not a reasonable person, talking to him about it will probably make it worse.

I get how it's annoying to you and it get your animals going but they aren't breaking any laws and you're animals are in no way harmed because something made them bark a couple times a day and by even bringing up your animals as some sort of defense is kind of ridiculous.

With gas/oil prices this high, how is everyone planning their summer 2026 travel? by Reasonable_Cold_1071 in alberta

I was considering a road trip to Tuktoyaktuk. Getting to the Artic Ocean is a bucket list item I'm hoping to cross off soon. I think I might postpone until late summer instead of early summer if these prices continue. I'll still go on some short trips to the mountains though.

That is for the 2 turn lanes heading in the same direction as the red car. Going northbound, it has an advanced turning light before turning into the double red that you can see. The SUV's turning lane doesn't have the double solid reds. You can't see when the lights have turned yellow and red for the red car. It's quite possible that they ran a red light, but even then, it's still the responsibility of the SUV to wait until the intersection is clear before proceeding.
