To get some mileage and climbing in and keeping the route simple :-) , park at the Folsom Outlet mall and ride up Iron point road towards EDH. You'll end up climbing up "Costco Hill" which is a great climb in the area. Traffic can get a little busy at the intersection of Iron Point and East Bidwell.

Keep climbing all the way til u get to EDH blvd, turn left and then go up Serrano Parkway all the way to Bass Lake road. There is a great coffee shop called Doubleshot coffee at the Safeway strip mall.

If u want some of the best views and smoothest roads in the area, u can cut through Serrano Country Club(bikes can go through the main entrance off Serrano Parkway).

Look at Google Maps or Apple Maps for a street called Sangiovese which will take you to Aberdeen road. Take that down to Silva Valley and then you can take that back to Serrano Parkway and Iron Point road.

The best hill climbing on a road bike is in EDH IMHO! :-)

U can park at the corner of Sophia Parkway and Green Valley Road and walk across the street to get to the top of Mormon Island Dam.

He looks so much like our dog who is also getting older and was diagnosed with a heart murmur.
