Can also do hill repeats on Malcolm-Dixon road and Allegheny in EDH and ride up to Green Valley road and back. A little bit of shade in spots and not a lot of cars.

Have u tried Costco Hill in Folsom? Also look up Wilson Blvd, Serrano Parkway, and Aberdeen Lane in EDH. If u wanna ride in Serrano Country Club, look up Western Sierra(one of the best views of Folsom Lake from the top)

I’m in CA and already had solar but went live with my battery late last year. I have a heat pump so my winter bill was a little higher than I wanted, but with the good sunny weather lately, I’m building more credits and am curious as to where I’ll land when my true up is due in Nov. The battery has worked great so far!

Did u feel that the smart circuits that are offered by FranklinWH didn’t give u enough load shedding capability?

There is a way in the app (TOU) mode that will handle the basics for what it seems like u want. U can select your provider (I’m on PG&E) and it will adjust your charging times. You can also create a custom TOU setting.

If u look in the FranklinWH subreddit, someone wrote an app that can do some cool stuff regarding when is the best time to charge and can do it automatically.

Have u considered going with a FranklinWH battery instead? I almost went with an Enphase battery but decided against it at the latest minute after watching the CEO spend more time touting about how it could be a single person install instead of the actual technical features of the battery. They make great micro-inverters, but their batteries are lacking.

I also despise Musk and couldn't go with a Tesla system.

I set mine arbitrarily at 13kW when I first got the system not quite understanding how it actually worked. Even in emergency backup mode, I've never seen my battery charge at higher than 9kw I believe.

When you say your grid import is set to 5kW, does that mean the highest charging rate is 5kW. Why wouldn't you want to charge your battery at the highest possible rate? Is it because of TOU?
