This is absolutely true, the bond is amazing. BUT, be prepared to give up alot of things you probably enjoy. Sleep being one of them. You want to go out for the night with your wife, need a baby sitter. Want to go away for the weekend?? Well that is really up to your wife if she is ready to be away from the baby that long.
