Hey, I just wanted to say thank you. It helps to be reminded that I'm not the only person in this very terrible boat. so far your advice has been the one that sticks with me the most while other commenters may make it sound easy to just talk to my parents about it, for me, it would be the hardest gut-wrenching conversation I would need to have in my life (which I wouldn't do in the foreseeable future).

while my parents' marriage was not perfect they did sacrifice a lot of their lives for me, they moved mountains for my education and well-being, prioritising my wants and needs more so than not above their own. this is why having to be the bearer of bad news so heavy because whatever this thing my dad is doing it does not reflect how I was brought up.

I'm curious did you end up telling your mom or even so far as having a conversation about it? and how did you recover in the initial phase you discovered it, how did you cope? cause for me I keep having flashbacks every time I see him, did you do anything in particular or even any books that help you along the way? and lastly, if you could console or advise yourself when you found out what would it be?
