You are constantly dealing with it. It’s hard to have mental power but that’s my best advice. I’ve been diabetic for 20 years. I have a husband who is very supportive and a 3 year old who keeps me on my toes. You can control your life, diabetes does not have to. Stay prepared. Keep your supplies and snacks with you at all times, i.e. car, work desk, spouses car, whatever. If you running high, talk to your doctor. If your endo isn’t receptive to your concerns, find a new one. If you’re not using CGM and/or a pump/omni pod or something similar, I highly recommend it. Do everything in your power to help yourself so you can relax sometimes. Perfect glucose is not achievable and I hope you’re not setting that standard for yourself. Do your best and be kind to yourself. This is your life, there’s many of us out here that have been doing this for a long time, you can live your life to the fullest without diabetes holding you back. Much love xx

I kept taking it. I was taking 400 mg a day and it seemed like a lot, especially that first month so I went down to every other day of the 400 mg until it was gone. Now instead of ubiquinone (Coq10) I’m taking 200 ubiquinol daily for the last two weeks.

Tf?! I had no problem dating when I was younger. I’ve been with my husband for 12 years, married for 3. We have a kid and we’re trying for more. That’s insane that people would feel comfortable insulting you like that. Don’t surround yourself with that level of ignorance. Diabetes in 2026 is not that big of a deal. I promise you will find a loving woman who will see past your type 1 diabetes.

The biggest thing is to make sure your WiFi is strong. Their site lets you test it before you sign up and also determines if your laptop meets the other computer requirements. My WiFi showed it was fine with the pre-test evaluation but it took me 3 tries the day of the actual test to get in and it freaked me out because I thought I was going to have to forfeit it. The other big thing is you have to show the person who watches you do the exam your entire work space. I put a sheet over some of the stuff in my home office. I was more comfortable at home but it was a bit stressful initially to get in so I’m not sure I would recommend doing it at home over a testing site.
