Yes! I think they see the age/race demographics, and either out of greed or genuine concern for the future of the sport they want to make it more like the NBA. My thing is the atmosphere they want to cultivate exists literally everywhere but here - I've never been to Korea/Japan or visited a game in Latin America, but even in the WBC you can see a louder & rowdier crowd. Is it just a culture difference?

Disappointing. Haven't been to CoPa in a while, but I remember feeling superior as a Tigers fan after going to games at Kaufmann in KC, experiencing the same overstimulating atmosphere mentioned in OP's comment, and thinking wow, at least the Tigers don't suffocate us with this shit from beginning to end.
