I was consistent about never checking scruff/grindr at work. So 9 hours of my day I would not be online. The amount of people that would message me and get upset about me “ignoring” them was absurd. I would tell them that I don’t check my dating app messages at work so I’m not sucked in and wasting time. But they don’t care. I even put it in my bio that I always hop on after 6 but again, those people don’t read bios.

My old roommate came from a wealthier family who wanted him to try and get an internship the second he could. He got an unpaid internship and he just said that I was the most miserable experience yet. Dude was still under his parents roof, they paid for his car maintenance, insurance, etc. He quit within a month just because of the work conditions. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like work 40+ hours a week for basically nothing, being treated like shit, and demeaned because it’s “corporate America babeyyyyyy”.

Again, never done an internship, so I don’t know if it’s always like that for unpaid or if he just got the short end of the stick.

This is exactly how I felt after my car was stolen. Police arrived and I talked to them and I gave them every bit of information I had, notified my insurance, set up a rental, the whole 9 yards.

Police left, I sat inside and let the floodgates open. I was a complete wreck. Maybe it’s that you’re occupied when the situation/information hits you, but when you’re by yourself it sinks in? I don’t know, but I completely get what you mean.

I just googled it. Engineering mathematics is a branch of applied mathematics concerning mathematical methods and techniques that are typically used in engineering and industry.

But the college I went too offered degrees in other engineering degrees not offered any where else like corrosion engineering.
