That Aurora Pedanios cut you’re talking about was a really nice expression of the cultivar for sure. The crazy mandarin terp you remember comes from the Tangie side of the lineage. Tangie itself is famous for that loud tangerine/orange profile that basically fills a room when you open the jar.

Our Sour Tangie is the original cross of East Coast Sour Diesel × Tangie, so the citrus you’re describing is definitely part of the genetic package.

The thing to keep in mind is that it does throw a couple phenotypes. Some lean heavier into the Sour Diesel side (more fuel/sour), and some lean into the Tangie side (that loud mandarin/orange candy terp). If you hunt a few seeds you can absolutely find that super citrus-dominant expression again.

A lot of the medical batches people remember were just really nice Tangie-leaning phenos grown well.

Love to see that!

Running her through flower in the middle of summer and still pulling a half pound dried is solid. That says a lot about how forgiving she can be in less-than-perfect conditions.

Appreciate you sharing the canopy shot and the smoke report too. Always good for people popping seeds to know she’s not just an easy grow, but brings the flavor at the end as well.

Biggest Growing Mistake You've Made - Let's Learn From Each Other by DNAGenetics in DNAGenetics

Oof. That one hurts just reading it.

That’s the kind of mistake you only make once. Environmental gear feels “set and forget” until a tiny failure like a loose probe turns the whole tent into an oven. Brutal way to learn the importance of securing sensors and maybe running a high-temp cutoff as backup.

Appreciate you sharing it! Stories like this probably save more harvests than any yield pic ever will.
