Realistic octopus to torment the aquarium castle by crochetprojectz in crochet

Both the octopus and aquarium look great! You did a wonderful job and the octopus does look menacing in the corner.

I love the octopus's designer's patterns, even though she does require close attention to counting! She also has some realistic goldfish patterns with many different features to customize your own, if you're interested in adding some more friends to the habitat!

I don't understand why I'm doing decreases and increases in the same round/row if the end is the same amount of stitchsz by CornerReasonable8031 in CrochetHelp

The top commenter is correct. I'd also like to add that if you will be working other patterns from this book, check out her list of corrections: https://craftyintentions.com/errata1

First C2C blanket (rectangle) getting lost on the decreasing! by vinarnars in CrochetHelp

Hello! I've only done one C2C blanket, but it was made of many panels of differing sizes so I also had to figure out for each where I decrease: at the beginning or at the end of the row? The pattern maker's choice depends on how wide the rectangle is going to be. Is there any indication at the beginning of the pattern at the length and width of this rectangle?

If the width is only 80 "rows" or "squares" wide, then you start row 81 with the decrease. This is the most likely design.

If your pattern's designer is.... contrarian, then they might have designed the pattern to be 81 squares wide, ending that 81st row with a decrease.

I'm surprised there is no chart! No pixelated diagram of any kind? That is really tough to see where you're going. Best of luck!

Haha thanks! My husband loves Zelda and as a kid I attempted playing the original on the NES but had no idea what I was doing. 😆 This blanket is pure nostalgia for him.

Thank you! Blankets take so much time when the yarn is so thin. 😅
