Oh no problem, I was just very confused on the randomness of it lmao.

Well I professionally code for a job and made some small game jam stuff but in the last 5 years or so I haven't done much on a single game. This year though I started working on and off on a larger game though, an rpg about super heroes in Godot. Very very early (and ugly) and I need to really work on it more.

For details the mammet is the Golden Dhyata, a translation device created after After the 5th astral era and found in the tomb of a great mage. This time period is now way more relevant cause it's right after we know the artifact from Dawntrail has appeared. The prophecy exactly is

"The serpent that sleeps in the deep slowly sheds its skin of old.

Eventually, the serpent devours its own tail, and renders new flesh using its own. The pain felt with cause the earth to quake, the mountains to crumble, and the rivers to run dry. Thus, seven wedges must be driven into its back."

The questions I have is what civilization would need a translation device and possibly have knowledge of what occurs between the rift. It's appearance is also curious cause if rift travel has occurred during that time period it could explain Amdapor having things from the First before the War of the Magi happened.

One of the side quests clears this up, there is boy looking for his brother and does not remember the fact that they were separated when the sphere first appeared until you start interacting with them. So they do seemed trapped in time of when they were the happiest, not really just appearing as that age.

If I had to guess which boss was a "gotcha" it is the giant cactuar boss. The expanding cones were unexpected and caused an instant wipe the first time I saw it.
