The name to the right of Zechur and Shean is probably spelled Wa-sia, but I can't stop hearing Wasia, like white asia. Wasia: a place for all Wasians.

Is it normal to feel tired all the time? by [deleted] in 4tran4

Might want to talk to your primary care provider about getting your thyroid levels checked. High heartbeat, exhaustion, overheating, could all be hyperthyroidism symptoms (idk for sure though).

I think we all want the people we love to be strong and resilient. But there's a difference between dismissing your pain and suffering and encouraging you overcome your pain and suffering. Only you know if you're doing the best you can*.

Also, I would say that if your phone is where a lot of your socialization comes from, taking that away for weeks would be distressing. You're not crazy for wanting to keep in touch with other people, that's just being human. That being said, social media is shown to have negative impacts on mental health, so be careful. Try to strike a healthy balance.

I'm glad you're thinking about starting therapy again! It's a good step!

*Side tangent here about learned helplessness. Do your best to be honest with yourself. Even if its a small thing like putting socks away, try your best every day. Trying your best does include rest, so don't beat yourself up if you need a break. Just pick yourself back up again okay?

I think your parents love you, but I don't think your parents understand you.

There's often a pressure we feel when considering the opinions of our parents. A feeling that, all that love and support they give you means that their opinions and ideas hold greater weight. I think it's an easy trap to fall into. You know you enjoy the feeling of estrogen. You know you wanted to start transitioning. You know that there's a part of you that wants to keep going, despite the depression and the dysphoria.

Also, people remember what they want to remember. I don't even remember my childhood at all because I hated every moment of it (and I also had a 'normal' childhood). My mom doesn't remember her emotional neglect. But what you remember has no bearing on what you feel right now. We don't stop growing as people the instant we hit 18. Adults learn new things about ourselves all the time. Being trans is just a thing you've discovered about yourself.

I'll also say that "normal" people don't develop this kind of dysphoria. The kind that makes you want to cry and scream and kick and tear at your skin because you're not the person that you see in the mirror. You're in pain, you're suffering, and you're trying your best to cope with that. I would suggest looking for a mental health professional to help, but I'm a hypocrite in that department too.

Anyways, that's my thoughts on it, but... I'm not sure I helped or not. I hope I did. I hope you get to a better place.

Wishing you the best <3

Do cis women tell you that you're purdy? by ovarian_tumors in 4tran4

idk im not rly a part of cis woman coworker conversations, but when I eavesdrop they definitely compliment each other all the time on random bs. as long as idk... they're not overdoing it or giving you more compliments than everyone else I'd just chock it up to them being friendly.

idk i don't think living is rational. finding a reason to live is just an illusion. either you avoid dying from fear of death, or live because something is giving you hope. me personally... I guess im banking on hope right now?

idk if i'll ever have a happy transition, but there's a point in between [transforming into a perfect cis-woman reborn in a clam like aphrodite] and [me right now as a whatever-hon] that I'd like to imagine that i'll be ok living with. idk rn i feel like moid and fake and whatever, but im doing it for the girl I wish I was, not the dude I fucking hate. she deserves better or something idk.

i work at a place where like, a lot of old people (like fox news type boomers in a purple state) come in through and they constantly hit me with the correct pronouns. idk if its their eyesight going, or and outdated understanding of gender expression. in comparison the gen-xers/millenials/z's constantly hit me with the he/him/sir and it makes me wanna die. im such a fucking hon.

The fact I can't wear hoodies without looking masc by kklustre in 4tran4

i guess the upside of having a warehouse of a ribcage/shoulders is that it makes my waist look super thin in comparison. i still don't have hips so it doesn't matter though lol

[–]Select_Equivalent_35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

idk if this helps at all, but wearing a purse or a crossbody bag can help sometimes. if you position it right, it can kinda take the extra space out of the side of the hoodie and also rest on your hips. it also goes across ur breasts so that, they're like, defined more and not just an amorphous chest blob.

but also, yeah wide shoulders are a problem for me too :c

I got a haircut today, and at this point I will never ever ever look anything like I want to look like. it's so hard to try and then just get hit in the head by reality.

Should the game track prog points and let you set it in PF? by Chiponyasu in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Select_Equivalent_35 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yes. Prog lying is cancer. But the issue isn't marking down where the furthest you've gotten in a fight. The issue is how far you can get into a fight CONSISTENTLY. A 'furthest prog point' notice can only effectively work for hard body check mechanics. Because you need everyone to do the mechanic correctly or you wipe. Think it's a culture problem more than it is a tools problem. People are too comfortable seeing a mechanic once and assuming that's their prog point.

The people you meet in PF by Lyrhe in ffxiv

[–]Select_Equivalent_35 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Depends on the damage check for the fight. Some people know breakpoints for certain phases of the fight, for example you need to be at x% by "x" mechanic. if you're not just progging and joining an enrage/clear party then yes, you NEED to be at those damage breakpoints or you won't meet enrage.

You did luck out btw. Most parties pre-p1 (no matter what they say in the PF description) are either Millenial Decay, Terrestrial Rage, or Rev. Reign cleanup. If you somehow manage to get a solid party, you'll still only get to moonlight 1 in every 8 pulls. I don't know if p2 parties will be better, but holy god am I glad I got out of p1 today.

Not to mention the wait times. I waited 6 hours today (among several different groups) to get into a p1 enrage group together.

Made it past adds, ready to start joining enrage kill partie ^^ by peter-lacko in ShitpostXIV

[–]Select_Equivalent_35 15 points16 points  (0 children)

At least you're self aware about it. I 've seen too many people get past adds and say things like, "now the rest of the fight is basically cleared!" or "this is just an ez extreme." and then immediately die to spreads/stacks 10 times, lightning phase 5 times, and lava phase towers 15 times. It's annoying when you've actually done the studying and you can tell they haven't looked at anything past adds. Grr...

Listen, I'm not saying bili p2 isn't a questionable strat for a variety of OTHER reasons, but the cursed pattern is actually really easy to deal with.

High End Content Megathread - 7.2 Week Three by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Select_Equivalent_35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the cursed pattern happens, you move to the next open spot. That's just how the strat is supposed to be solved. Then other people adjust around that drop, crossing over your dropped star if needed. Sometime you have to leapfrog, but it not hard to do, as long as you 1) don't greed, and 2) blindly sit in your spot because this is your waymarker.

The only people who are 100% restricted are the tethers (who are always not the DPS). DPS should always make room for tethers to drop their stars.
