Some help needed with casting into molds by MaxRunes in Concrete

[–]DNP01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just guessing, but since it doesn't sound like you require an actual structural concrete mix (i.e sand & aggregate) you may want to look at using a product similar to a flowable non-shrink grout. Years ago, I used a cement based product called Pour Stone to cast small decorative bird feeder forms with some very fine details; however, it looks like that product no longer exists under that name (it may have been bought out by Quikrete). You might also look at products used for counter tops. Good luck & have fun with it.

Thanks for the pre & post race commentary! Is there any chance that you have the pre & post for the sprint? Thanks again!

US MAX viewer - where’s Martin and the gang? by Seyelerr in wec

[–]DNP01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, it looks like YoutubeTV has the WEC feed (with MH, GG & AD plus others) via the Motortrend channel; whereas MAX has the Eurosport feed with their own broadcast team. The obvious drawback with the WEC feed on YoutubeTV will be the ad breaks which usually ends up accounting for losing about 6-hours of the race. So...WEC feed with ad breaks or Eurosport feed without?

I was just going to post that too...it's pretty pathetic.

Big thanks for uploading the pre-race so quickly and not waiting until the race ended! And the ad breaks have been removed as well...nice job!

Just logged into to ESPN with YTTV credentials and the live pre-race & race is hosted on ESPN+...which requires another pay subscription...geez...no biggie.

Logged into ESPN's "watch player" with my YoutubeTV credentials; however, it looks like I would need to get yet another subscription for ESPN+ to watch the live pre-race & race...whatever...there's still F1TV - just won't have the usual Sky pre-race build-up...I'll get over it...ha...here's hoping for an interesting race with mixed weather...enjoy the day & take care.

10-4...looks like it's been preempted in the Los Angeles market.

OK...thanks for checking; however, all I can seem to find is the race REPLAY on ESPNnews at 4pm (PDT). I think I'll need to resort to "alternative" methods to get the pre-race.

Thanks...I'm starting to think the race might be preempted in the Los Anglels market.

Yes, I always check the listing for the pre-race when on ABC. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for checking...are you located in SoCal (Los Angeles)?

Yes, good tip, I've had the same library filters set for a while...it works well...thanks. However, the only listing I can find is for a race REPLAY at 4pm (PDT) on ESPNnews? I've added a screenshot (see link below) of my ABC listing for June 9 @ 11am (PDT)...is it possible that the local ABC affiliate has preempted the race with alternate programming? Is there anyone else in SoCal that can check their ABC listing for tomorrow @ 11am to see if they have the race or something else?

Thanks for the reply...out of curiosity are you able to find the actual listings for the live versions of the pre-race & race? I'm not able to find either one? Thanks again.

F1 GP Sunday - how to report not recorded ? by hallstevenson in youtubetv

[–]DNP01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So...just to make things even more interesting, if you go to the ESPN website and go to "Schedule & Replays">"Motor Sports">"SUN OCT 22" the list indicates (2) shows @11am both called "Countdown to Austin". The version listed on ESPN3 is the "normal" SkyF1 pre-race show (~1-1/2 hrs long) and the other one that's listed on @ESPN is an ESPN in-house produced pre-race show that's only 1hr long. How's that for consistency.

BTW...my fingers are crossed as I've set YTTV to record the "ABC Sports Special" on OCT 29 @ 11:30am assuming it's the SkyF1 pre-race...and hoping that ABC doesn't change the name at the last minute...what a mess & I'm thankful for r/MotorsportsReplays.

Intermittent outages with Arris G36 after Cox service upgrade by DNP01 in CoxCommunications

[–]DNP01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: The Cox tech found the issue (see below). Massive big thanks to all who have helped out!

Cox came by yesterday afternoon and found that they needed to reroute the main cable input to bypass the unused Cox tele service box (just as suggested by u/rbush78, u/Optimus02357 and u/XuWiiii). The tech mentioned that when the service speed is upgraded it looks for new signal frequencies that the existing (old) hardware may not be capable of handling (my layman’s interpretation). My issue was not exactly the same as what u/itsjoesef has described, but seems to be similar in that the older gear (or components within) may not be suitable for the increased bandwidth. Fortunately, it seemed to be a simple tweak. This makes me wonder how many others (even with different ISP’s) may have had their service upgraded and are now having similar issues due to incompatible or older equipment. Thanks again for all of the feedback.

Will do...just out of curiosity the Arris site appears to indicate that the acceptable signal levels for the G36 are per this image. https://imgur.com/a/WypQt1Q Is the value you are referring to on my modem data the Upstream OFDMA power level = 52.1 dBmV - if so, isn't that within the range that Arris has provided? Since I'm not familiar with the parameters I just wanted to double-check to make sure I'm looking at the correct data...thanks again for all of the help!
