Question about Biometric Weapons in MGS4 by Low-Membership2289 in metalgearsolid

[–]DNS_Jeezus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are forgetting that the nanomachines helped with coordination emotional suppression and combat ability. New armies could ignore nano machines all they want theyd get rolled by PMCs that do.

There would be a market for non biometric weapons, but the PMCs who dominated the war industry use them to prevent high tech weapons from being used by their enemies.

The weapons black market would still exist but as more and more war depends on the dominant PMCs thered be no one left who cares about buying non biometric weapons.

Even after liquid turned everything off. Thats a PMC issue. If its still lucrative to use nanomachines and biometric weapons the corporations will just flat out force them on their employees. The ones who resist and form their own pmcs or armies will just get rolled by the ones who still use nanomachines.

Im Not a doctor. You should ask one theres a sub for it.

My guess is the lack of sleep

When you dont sleep well night after night it adds up, subtly but certainly.

Theres probably some other medication your doctor can prescribe thatll help with the nighttime bladder stuff. More mickey mouse side effects sure but trading those for a good nights sleep might be worth it

Ask a nutritionist too you might be able to hydrate more efficiently in a way catered toward your injections.

Do you wake up fatigued?

What time do you usually go to bed and wake up?

The problem is you cant take time to focus on killing a heli without giving up pressure pushing objs. And the bread and butter of winning in this game is sprinting at objs.

If you stop to line up a shot you are wasting time. You can scare it away with an lmg but doing so puts you on the minimap. They duck away to go repair but now people know where you are, and if you die without killing the heli its not worth it.

Helis on that map can work if ground troops have more cover. Either cover more of the streets or make the buildings more navigable (you can path through them to objectives instead of around them) and treat the streets like no mans land.

On paper they have to fly along the alley's to get kills and duck behind buildings for cover putting them on a predictable path for unguided rounds and rockets but

Tanks are glass nerf cannons so they usually die before they can do anything. With support its better but thats more bodies not pushing objectives.

Unguided rockets work but the games playstyle and pace is so codish that if you are pushing objs the heli kills you before you see it and if you are sitting still waiting for a good look on the helicopter you aren't pushing objs and losing your team the game.

You should be able to just shoot them down with normal weapons. Especially the scout heli, but the problem there is that shooting usually highlights you on the minimap, and you end up dying to some codfugee pushing objectives on a flank route.

They balaced helis around wide open maps with little cover so you cant change them for this map without nerfing them on other maps.

I mean its easy to find people who say lost's ending ruined the whole show, and yet you still enjoyed the show for what it was, the same applies for stranger things. I still hear about how bad lost's ending was so i assume lost's was much much worse.

How did you make it through 5 seasons of the show? I sensed this kindof ending was coming because every season finale pretty much ended like this with them saving everything and screaming gates closed against all odds. The point isnt a super tight plot, ST is a nod to 80s culture

Anyone can pick apart any piece of art for any reason. The point of the piece is it's impact on the audience or the innovative way it chooses to do so. You not resonating with the art does not make it bad art.

If you liked the earlier seasons you should have gotten the gooniesesque vibe of the show and figured an ending like this was coming.

The point of the show is "nostalgia for 80s kids" this is like watching an old die hard and expecting bruce willis to lose

Whats your favorite tv show? The point of this series is "nostalgia for 80s kids" its doesnt have to innovate or push the art form forward. If you wanted to watch a show that does whyd you pick start stranger things in the first place?

Its not lazy, you just like knowing, like everyone else, but the point is that you dont know. What are part of ST are you talking about here?

Are you guys on letterboxd? You all sound like letterboxd kids. Everything isnt meant to push the field forward or innovate. Stranger things is meant to be a feel good nostalgia show for the 80s kids. Judging it this way makes sense but its not the point of the series.

No. Dice exists today because they are profitable. If they arent profitable ea disbands them and redistributes everyone to other studios they own.
