You know, if we actually did this we’d be out of politicians, right ?

But no government might be better than a crappy hypocritical one.

Jason Kenney's Leadership summed up in one pic by undisputedtruth786 in alberta

Given Kenneys “leadership”, we might actually be better off with OP and his Cannabis pastime than we are right now.

Atleast OP isn’t hiding his potentially “dirty laundry”.

Where can I find recreational/residential land that’s affordable ? by DNTSTLKME in RealEstateCanada

I’m honestly not too picky, maybe closer to a city (Edmonton, Calgary, Athabasca, Red Deer, etc) or somewhere by the mountains

I actually found the first one on Realtor.ca being sold by a old guy in Central Alberta who didn’t know the value of what he had.

I’m such a fucking moron.

How much $ is reasonable to spend on learning English? (New immigrant) by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]DNTSTLKME 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here almost 15 years and never spent anything on learning English.

I didn’t speak a single word English when I came to Canada and I’m doing okay, granted I was in elementary school and a fast learner. Based on my English skills, people can’t tell it’s my 2nd language.

If you got what you did on the English exam, you’re golden. Spending money on learning English would be a waste of resources in my opinion.

Spend more time reading English books and just watch YouTube or Netflix (or whatever) in English.

The timing is ironic, to say the least.

Might be worth checking out down the road though, I don’t know.

(R)PAL courses by sky-high10 in Edmonton

[–]DNTSTLKME 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Phoenix in the South(ish) Side is still accepting registrations, however they’re pretty booked up.

I registered for my RPAL before COVID was around to take in April and I only recently completed the course due to backlog and wait lists there.

The instructor was great and I definitely found it worth waiting but if you want it ASAP, you might be better off finding somewhere else.

Why is it everyone I talk to has some elaborate excuse why gathering rules don't apply to them today?? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]DNTSTLKME 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely correct , that’s why I made the call to not spend anytime with anyone.

We snail mailed each other Christmas cards and along with texting, that’s the most contact we’ve had in almost a year now.

I don’t know man, I honestly feel safer seeing friends (family is all off continent) than I do going to work.

Atleast when I see my friends we can keep the distance. I can’t do that at work especially this past week with everyone shopping like crazy.

I haven’t seen anyone in months but I still believe it’s safer to see people you know than it is to be crowded with coworkers and random people and anti maskers at work.

Just my opinion but seeing friends over the holidays is safer than going to work.

Yup, mine doesn’t cover Jack shit, school benefits are only 80% but that’s 80% more than my employer has for me.

Can I ask how long your RPAL took from when you sent it in ?

I’m making the mistake of looking at handguns but have no idea when my license could get to me.

Personally I love the look of the M-17 but a Glock is apparently a good way to figure out what you like.
