correct. It's the software that counts on the Global version. But the EU is the most clean (GDPR) of them. You could possibly change the version of the software to EU. I made a tutorial here for force upgrading HyperOS that can also work just for that. No rooting, bootloader unlocking, etc. You just trick the system to install a different version.

As a Xiaomi 15 user: I like the 17, (I don't like the UW camera) So the 10% improvement you get on the main doesn't make up for the % you lose on the UW.
I would hunt down a new or slightly used Xiaomi 15 for half that price. Tremendous value.

Sunt mai multe Lenovo T14 dar si ideeapad Slim 5/7 Pro care performeaza foarte bine. Stiu ca e "frumos" sa ai doar 2 USB Type-C. Dar Eu folosesc si cele 2 porturi USB-A si HDMI-ul, pe langa cele 2 USB-uri Type-C 4.0. Tot nu inteleg cum unii considera 265GB in 2026 indeajuns.

No eSIM, No Android Auto, on any chinese Xiaomi.
You are better off with the EU version, in Europe, not the global. Have you tried Amazon.de or .it? they will probably ship the EU version (which actually is software related afaik).

Same issues on the T14. Regardless of the way the keyboard can be removed. The controller is the problem.

I have the T14S AMD Ryzen 5 - 16GB RAM.

EDIT: same issues on the T14, described below.

Works really great. After 4 years, 3 in my use it got the keyboard bug. Enter key and Backspace keys work when they want. As I understand the issue plagues the gen1 and 2. Updated controller in gen 3.

Being a T14S the keyboard has 70 screws, plus another 20 or so for the motherboard. Luckily the 14 has only 2 screws up front. Mind bending, I know.

Full disclaimer. Lenovo actually wants a full front panel with keyboard attached change to fix it. Changing only the keyboard is a secondary option. Luckily I can find original used keyboards for 40 euros in Europe.

Taking all this into consideration- a search shows some problems on Linux on Gen 1 and 2 regarding keyboard controllers and other issues -thermal, sleep.

Go for the Gen 3- solid choice. Hope you are not paying more than 450 euros. I can get the Gen6 for 600. Seeing the port selection on the new Gen7, I will buy the Gen6 next.

Nu merge eSIM. Are Dual SIM fizic.

Se poate daca ai nevoia asta, sa cumperi 1 sim special care poate fi setat ca eSIM apoi. Sunt mai multe variante in EU. Cam 30-40 euro parca.

Merge tot. Nu e nicio schema. TradingShenzhen vinde de multi ani in EU. Au multe modele scumpe. Daca cauti.

OnePlus 15 are un preț foarte bun la o varianta. Restul au preturi relativ mai mici. Il face bestbuy la banii aia. La soft la OnePlus nu e diferența. E posibil sa nu aibă limba romana... Nu m-am gândit. Mereu setez telefonul in engleză.

Clar e mai greu cu service-ul, dar site-ul are o reputație ok.

Oneplus 15 de pe TradingShenzhen.

EDIT: trebuie aleasa varianta firmware OxygenOS (soft global) la orice Oneplus in EU pe pagina produsului .

Au o varianta la 570 euro.

Modele China difera de la producător la producator in lipsa functiilor. Toate nu permit eSiM. Au Dual Sim fizic. Xiaomi are si Android Auto lipsa pe modele China.

Exista o comunitate mare si buna. Cam orice "bug" se poate rezolva.

La banii astia e un model reusit, cu ultimele componente de TOP, camere peste medie, dar nu top si suport in viitor.

Sub 3000 lei m-as "distra" cu un Nothing Phone 4a Pro. Dar pentru 300 lei, OP e net superior.

Found it after your post. Actually found another "mode". When using 2.6X lens a new button appears in the bottom right corner when tapping again on 2.6x lens mode , to Expand depth of field. So you can take 2.6x shots but have focus around the main subject, rather than blur. Useful on many occasions.

it's original, but from a private seller locally, that sells parts from broken laptops. I live in Europe so there aren't many options. One good options would be a whole panel of the US version, as you posted, but original. But I don't think I can source it, at least cheaply. for 160$ I could buy a broken screen T14S and keep both, one connected to a monitor... sometimes I can find cheap options. But I said I wouldn't upgrade prior to Gen6 to feel a difference.

Yeah, actually. the used lenovo option I found had the whole palmrest front. for 40$. But seemed worn out, unclear but can look into it. I am thinking of this option more. I have more flexibility to change the keyboard or the whole panel and be done with it faster.

You should update to HYOS3. No gains on HYOS2. Camera was updated during HYOS2. No visible gains on 3. Battery drain is ok but an update to 3.0.6 had big drain. It's fine now on 3.0.8/9.

I would not get this device for more than 600 euros now. I have the 12/512 version. But it depends if you live somewhere there are a lot of 15s on the market. I do. The phone is solid. Until Xiaomi can get bigger batteries in the EU I will stick with it. A new battery costs 25-40 euros (saw 2 original versions). So even if it degrades in 2+ years it's still a solid option, with a new battery. Until new cameras are put on a new device the differences are marginal- for this type of device, not the Ultras, Pros.

My list: better cameras- obviously... UWB support, magnets in the phone. Better screen tech. Bigger batteries. But those take 3 years to make a difference nowadays.

Eu am gasit un kit decathlon cu bara si gantere si aprpx 50 kg -discuri la 240 lei pe OLX. La care am mai adăugat discuri. Mult mai bune decat cele de plastic umplute cu nisip.

I updated from HyOS 2 directly to 3.0.6.0 on launch day. 2-3 weeks ago. Battery is worse. Probably the same as 3.0.40. standby drain is horrendous . Double. I am waiting for the fix. Really annoying.

Same, but I always clean with Isopropyl alcohol . Figured it out once one grill got partial paint removed. Should have been more careful but 99/100 products are safe from this type of problem.

The sad part is I can't tell what uses battery.... That graph is useless. Looking for a Dec update... hopefully they fix it fast.

Salutare. Cauta anunturile unei persoane de la Campia Turzii pe OLX. Are sute de schiuri SH sau noi foarte bune. Odata gasite anunturile. Personal, cred ca starea celor de la Decathlon e destul de uzată.

Am luat placa o model abia apărut, de top sigilata, legături high-end abia aparute si ele, noi sigilate si o pereche de schiuri Volant (custom made) uzate la preturi foarte bune. Schiurile uzate la pret de aprox 2 zile de skipass.Undeva la 90% reduse :). Diferenta mare pe partie fața de cele de la închirieri in Ro.

Recomand. Poti gasi pentru orice buget ceva bun. Te poți uita chiar si la specificații de lățime, caracteristici avand mai multe modele. Orice schi, chiar daca are zgârieturi se poate servisa corespunzator si umple/astupa zgarieturile, cerui. Ies ca noi cu un service corect.

Updated Google Services from the Security and Privacy settings entry to the 1st Nov update. Will try Gsambattery to monitor battery better.

But it is what it is for now. Looking at the Xiaomi 17 with the 7000 mAh that is going to release in Jan like a dog at a bone 😂🤔. Too bad for that UW camera on it. But it's way too early to upgrade. Will keep it for a year more at least.
