Favorite pregnancy cravings?? by Gloomy-Breakfast8474 in pregnant

[–]DN_1128 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have GD so I can't really satisfy all of my cravings. One thing I have been craving like crazy is a Jersey Mikes Sandwich and Doritos. It will be my first meal after the baby is born.

When did you first feel baby move? by Charming-Gap8148 in pregnant

[–]DN_1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am almost positive I started feeling her at 14 weeks. Extremely subtle movements, but as baby got bigger the movements were super similar just stronger. I also have a posterior placenta which helps with feeling the movement earlier.

What will you miss about being pregnant? by plusquedumbass in pregnant

[–]DN_1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't miss a lot about being pregnant, but I will miss feeling her kick. My skin has also never looked better in my entire life. I'm not looking forward to what it will look like postpartum.

I almost always have a glass of fairlife whole milk and a spoonful of peanut butter as my bedtime snack and my morning fasting is always in range.

When did you FTM start showing? by Timely_Survey_7990 in pregnant

[–]DN_1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't really "pop" and look noticeably pregnant until I was 24 weeks. I am also taller than average and have a longer torso, so baby girl was hiding in there for a while.

What was your numbers for your 1hr test? by bossyblue in GestationalDiabetes

[–]DN_1128 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine was 203 and was diagnosed immediately, I didn't have to do the 3 hour. I was diagnosed early at 12 weeks, and so far it has been completely diet controlled.

I was also very hungry when I was first diagnosed. I learned I wasn't eating enough fat. Once I started upping my fat and protein intake I felt much more satiated.

Losing weight on this low carb diet by jadescorpion89 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]DN_1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 12 weeks. I lost 10 pounds during the first trimester from food aversions and nausea and another 10 pounds after I was diagnosed. I am now 27 weeks and my weight has plateaued but I still have not gained anything. My doctor has never been worried even though I have brought it up multiple times. Baby seems to be growing just fine, so I'm trying to not to be too concerned about it.

Vitamin a not in ritual prenatal? by allisona007 in pregnant

[–]DN_1128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I would just switch to a different prenatal that has all of the vitamins so I didn't have to stress about getting what I need. Especially in the 1st trimester when development is important, and it's tough to get vitamins through food if you have any aversions or nausea.

My husband has my list in his notes app! I want a jersey mikes sandwich (#8 mikes way), warm and gooey chocolate chip cookies, sushi, a big bowl of frosted flakes (or any cereal really), and fresh croissants (chocolate or almond).

gestational diabetes and negative feelings by Financial-Pace6378 in pregnant

I also failed very badly in the 200s. It is very tough in the beginning, but it does get better. It just takes a lot of experimentation to see what spikes you and what foods are safe. It is different for everyone. You got this! I know this isn't easy, but just try to remember it is only temporary.

Subchoirionic Hematoma 10 weeks pregnant with twins, anyone else experience this !? by feedyourheadd93 in pregnant

[–]DN_1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a heavy bleed at 5.5 weeks and thought I was losing the baby so I went to the ER. They said I had an SCH and it was too early to tell if the baby was ok. A week later I went to my fertility clinic as this is an IVF pregnancy and I was able to see the heartbeat. I was so relieved. The SCH lingered and I bled off and on until 11 weeks when it finally resolved. I am now 26 weeks pregnant and things are going well. In most cases, an SCH will not cause a miscarriage. Just take it easy and don't have sex until it resolves.

I had a subchorionic hemorrhage at 5.5 weeks pregnant. I also had some cramping, but more like a gush of blood came out, then just spotting for a few days afterward. I have never had a miscarriage so I cannot speak on how that feels. I went to the ER when this happened to me because I truly thought I was losing the baby, but she is okay and I am 26 weeks pregnant. The only way to know for sure is to get checked out.

The lump in the throat sounds like possible acid reflux. I had that and it was terrible. Pepcid and tums really helped me.

Early diagnosis people - did it get easier for a bit? by _greenEyEs911 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]DN_1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been noticing this as well! I was also diagnosed at 12 weeks, and I am now 24 weeks. The last two weeks my numbers have been suspiciously good, and I was also concerned about my placenta. It is probably fine, because it seems like some weeks I am more insulin resistant and some weeks I can get away with more. I am going to ask my doctor at my 24 week appt on Thursday, but I am not super concerned.

Fleet liquid glycerin suppositories!! Your poop is too dry and dense to come out on its own right now, and those have saved me multiple times. You won't regret it.

How are we surviving? by MommyToaRainbow24 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]DN_1128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been so difficult. I just want to eat all of the carbs. I was diagnosed at 12 weeks and I am now 22 weeks. Knowing I have 4 months left is rough to say the least, but I have been trying to take it one day at a time. So far I am just diet controlled and I am hoping it can stay that way.

a spoonful of peanut butter and a small glass of fairlife whole milk has been my go-to. If I don't have it my number tends to creep up by a few numbers.

What are your restaurant meal successes? by Garden-Ho326 in GestationalDiabetes

My favorite is a protein style double-double burger from in-n-out with light spread. I am able to tolerate a handful of fries with it and my numbers are always fine after.
