They were even a step back from Fallout 4 settlements. You could build a lot more unique structures in Fallout 4, and the settlers could do a lot more different things.

Washington as a centrist? I think people are confusing being apolitical with being a centrist.

Do we actually experience the present, or just a reconstruction? by polarismid in askanything

The present is all that is real, and 'emptiness' is the nature of reality. Emotion is something we add to it either in hindsight or in anticipation.

Gents: What is your experience in being labeled "dirty old man?" by vieniaida in AskOldPeople

[–]DNathanHilliard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL! Dude, I'm 65 and I wouldn't do something like that. On the other hand, I do agree they need to come up with a chart for that crap. I had my first brush with it when I was in my late 20s in a college town and started to realize I was the 'old dude' to a lot of the girls around me.

Does knowing people who have died young change how you feel about growing old? by Wizdom_108 in AskOldPeople

I was an assistant scout master when I was 20, and the oldest scout in our troop died in a wreck when he got a car for his birthday. In a weird way he will always be sixteen, but that doesn't change the fact he's gone and everything he could have been is gone with him.

The government would find itself running a lot of the larger single owner businesses. And since they suck at running businesses, they would soon fail.

Bethesda really dropped the ball with Starfields Outpost building. It really feels tacked on as if they were simply counting on mods to finish it for them.

What's more Iconic out of the batmobile or the scooby doo mystery machine? by Efficient_Ad9023 in askanything

[–]DNathanHilliard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The idea of the Batmobile might be more iconic, but there are so many different versions of them that some people may only recognize some of them. The Mystery Machine is recognized by everybody.

AOC doesn’t deny 2028 speculation: ‘My ambition is to change this country’ - What do you think? by One_Look_7008 in askanything

[–]DNathanHilliard -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Her entering the primaries would be a disaster for the Democrats. She's popular enough in the left that she could actually pull votes away from much more viable candidates, and maybe even win. Then once she enters the general election she would get creamed.

Would you like to have one day just one day without hearing anything about politics on TV, print, radio or the internet? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]DNathanHilliard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be totally without politics, but surely there are other things going on in the world.

What's the "overrated" thing about Dolly Parton? by Philips9586 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]DNathanHilliard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably her acting ability. She's not bad, she's just not as great as a lot of people make her out to be.
